Wonderful narration
Most slept on audiobook player
All around banger audiobook player. Literally every other audiobook player has a catch/flaw in some way… not this app. It has a clean UI, is feature rich, has standalone apple watch playback with 2-way automatic sync, and much more. The developer seems invested and is shipping updates which is reassuring. Pricing is also extremely fair and reasonable. Keep crushing it dev!

Doesn’t work anymore
Too bad, I had purchased pro and was really happy. Unfortunately the app stopped working for me and my support request wasn’t replied to.
Not perfect
Seems nice at first but it loses listening position between sessions and doesn’t have a CarPlay open to open the app while driving. Updating to say these issue are still present months later.
Powerful App
I love how much I can do to personalize my audiobook listening experience. I especially love how well it connects to audiobookshelf, with the newest update (updates are super regular!) my data will be synching both ways. I love the how reading speed adjustment has small increments and the speed doesn’t have the funkiness I hear on other apps. And now the Apple Watch app?! It just keeps getting better.

Looks decent for managing books in cloud storage, not great with self hosted services
I’ve been trying to find the ultimate customizable audiobookshelf client app and have tried both the official one and Plappa.
I was excited to try out this app with my ABS installation but on launch the app did not support SSO. That was fine, but it would be nice if it was explicitly said in the documentation. I reached out to the developer asking if it was a planned feature and it took over a month and two more emails to get a response.
Eventually the update supporting SSO authentication in ABS came out and it didn’t work for me. I once again reached out asking if there was something I was missing like a mobile redirect url for ABS’s SSO settings because again, the documentation for this integration does not exist. It has been over a month and I have not gotten a response.
I’m starting to give up hope I will ever be able to try this app and will have just wasted money to try a feature that doesn’t work from a dev that doesn’t respond.

Looks amazing but doesn’t work
I’ve tried adding my plex server multiple times and it wont work. After successfully signing in, I get red text saying it appears my internet connection is offline, but Prologue works just fine. I will update my review if this is fixed.

12 Hours in my book I updated the app - and lost the location within my current book. Now I have to spool forward in 60s steps to get to the location from where to continue listening??? Also there is an ‚intelligent‘ metadata parser but existing metadata tags in the audiobook seem to be ignored?

Since my prior favorite went to a stupid subscription based, bought this one and love it. Only need a widget asap and it would be 6 stars!!!

Clean, fast, and easy!
Great UI and very straightforward to connect accounts. Please add an option to mark a book as read as it doesn’t automatically do it for me. Would also love to keep the data on books I read without having to keep the files.

A smarter audiobook player
I have a lot of audiobooks I’ve backed up and like to listen to on a 3rd party app because the official player is so awful. I have used BookPlayer for years but I have become frustrated because it doesn’t allow for metadata editing or tags. Its search function is also not very good. I started using this after seeing it promoted on Reddit and so far, I’m loving it because it addresses the things I don’t like about BookPlayer. It has good search, AI assisted categorization, and integration with a bunch of cloud platforms so you don’t have to carry your entire library with you on your device. Highly recommended!

Smart Rewind? I’m sold.
You can edit the metadata. There’s a PERFECT “smart rewind” feature. A versatile kids mode. I think iOS finally has a good competitor for Android’s “Smart Audiobook Player”!
