I like this credit union, but the app is bad
Currently, I can only load the first screen of the app. If I try to navigate to any account or menu option- it won’t load. It’s always SOMETHING with this app.
The online experience is awful
A reminder I no longer bank here for my banking needs but had to set up a Coogan for my child so had little choice. Not convenient whatsoever.
Why?
I’m a bit sad that our performance unions & guilds are limited to this credit union, and its amateur app.
I like that it is fairly simple.
But, there are always display glitches.
Almost annual hackings of AFCU accounts.
And old messages at the INBOX feature are not delete-able.
Why can’t we delete a message, if it’s no longer relevant?
Specifically: I was glad to be able to use this app to report when a restaurant server swiped my AFCU debit card twice, overcharging me.
That was over 6 years ago, and there is no “Delete Message” button anywhere in the Messages tab; so my report is still viewable.
If you’re an actor, and you’re working enough to afford PNC, Chase, BofA, or CitiBank; do it. This app is sorely lacking.

Face ID Constantly Broken
For basic banking needs of AFCU members the app does the job. However, Face ID has been broken for many months and deleting and reinstalling the app is no help. It’s a minor annoyance to always need to type in username and password.
