Nice app, even nicer free trial
Anyways, I haven’t been using it for long (still in the trial lol) but I’m liking the app a lot! I like that it’s basic and there isn’t a ton of extra stuff you don’t need. If you don’t want to do a task now, just say not now. No scheduling or notifications needed.
I haven’t made any preset lists yet, I’ll probably wait until I’m able to pay for a subscription and then try those out then. But, just kinda adding tasks throughout the day is working for me on its own. I don’t want to get too overwhelmed with the lists!
Time boxing that works
Also it’s adorable and fun.
It’s EXACTLY what I need… locked 100% behind a paywall
Want to love it, but bugs are bugging me
When I name a task, the name is not saved unless I tap “Done” on the keyboard. If I switch apps to, say, check a date or copy a note, the task name will be gone when I return to Llama Life.
Even staying within the app, if I choose an emoji before tapping “Done,” the task name is lost. This is one picky llama and you have to do things her way.
Just now I had a task list with just one item. I returned to it to add another one, and the list now contained six or seven more tasks all called “Untitled task” and with (appropriately) a “?” emoji on each. I had to clear the whole list and create my task again from scratch. This is not helping!
This llama also expects you to comply with her rules about moving tasks to the main list before completing them. If you happen to finish tasks without your phone in front of you, and with the task still in the “Later” list, she won’t let you clear it until you move it to the main list and tap “Complete.”
I do appreciate the app and I want it to improve and succeed. But there are many steps between here and there. By 2027 I hope to update this review and give 5 stars to an indispensable app that I can’t live without and can recommend without hesitation.
Alarm doesn’t work:-(
Just another Subscription Scam
Good app
I give it 5 stars
Thanks for making this!
If you miss 30/30…
Crash 6 months after purchase
Keeps undoing my changes.
needs internet to work
so I don't need any connection. Also, the breakdown tasks can't be edited, so when it generates nonsense(most of the time) I can't change it to works for me. Makes the feature worthless.
It’s more expensive in India than it is in the US
Amazing app and customer service
not worth $50 a year
I LLiterally LLove LLama LLife
P.S. I have ADHD and it’s perfect for it!
Good app, but slow to open
My Favorite App for Time Management
Almost there! Add some critical features please!
Amazing app for my adhd and a much happier life!
I tried loads of the mainstream ones recommended- but they were all so complex and overwhelming.
Llama life looks deceiving simple. But it works amazingly for me. I had a little system in my house of index cards in a box. My friend suggested it to me because I get so overwhelmed with lists.
Each index card had a task on it and I’d put them in a box standing up with little headers- urgent, medium, long term. A list totally overwhelms me but I found that having each task on a separate card, I could more easily choose what was important and shuffle around my order. And put some back in the box.
I also hate tech of any kind so not keen on apps but came across a podcast with llama life creator which inspired me to then search for the app.
It’s like my little cards plus it’s colourful and pretty to look at. The confetti after each task helps boost me a little. I can shuffle my cards around into different orders. I can prioritise by moving some onto the ‘ not now’ list so I can just focus on what I’m doing today in the next few hours. The time I’ve estimated for each task is then translated into real time at the top of the task so I know when I finish a task and whether the MANY tasks I’m planning will fit into my day.
I nearly always run over on my estimations of time. I love that you can choose to let time roll over so you can see how long u actually spent. And the little summary page is brilliant at the end of the day. I take a screenshot at the end of my eve and then clear the completed tasks for the next day. With time ( if I get round to it) I’d like to look at my screenshots of data and see if I can get better at judging time.
Another handy thing is if I’ve planned e.g. put washing out and then something distracts me while doing this task and the timer is ticking away, I can add it to my task description so I can still track my activity and time taken.
I honestly never write reviews and I never thought I’d love an app on my phone but after two weeks without it, I really wanted to buy it because it feels so helpful for keeping me focused. I am so happy to support fellow adhd creators for the time and clarity of this app. I thank them from the bottom of my never ending bottomless to-do list! And heart 💙👍
