Nice app, even nicer free trial
Anyone with adhd knows that free trials are a nightmare and trying to cancel them is a whole ordeal. So I really really really appreciate the fact that I am allowed to try this app out without having to sign up for anything or put my card in or sign up through the Apple Store for the trial.
Anyways, I haven’t been using it for long (still in the trial lol) but I’m liking the app a lot! I like that it’s basic and there isn’t a ton of extra stuff you don’t need. If you don’t want to do a task now, just say not now. No scheduling or notifications needed.
I haven’t made any preset lists yet, I’ll probably wait until I’m able to pay for a subscription and then try those out then. But, just kinda adding tasks throughout the day is working for me on its own. I don’t want to get too overwhelmed with the lists!

Time boxing that works
Llama life has saved my mornings! I have a list of tasks that need to be done every day, plus I write best before noon so I want to get some focused time in as well. Before Llama life I forgot steps or got distracted or spent longer than I meant to on various things. Now I load my morning routine into Llama life when I wake up and get all my “must dos”’done by lunch time.
Also it’s adorable and fun.

It’s EXACTLY what I need… locked 100% behind a paywall
They let you click it away, but then anything you click pulls up the paywall again no matter what you tap. Meaning this app isn’t free in any way, shape, or form.
Want to love it, but bugs are bugging me
Llama Life in early 2026 is a half-finished app with distracting quirks. And we all know how ADHDers love a distraction. <s>
When I name a task, the name is not saved unless I tap “Done” on the keyboard. If I switch apps to, say, check a date or copy a note, the task name will be gone when I return to Llama Life.
Even staying within the app, if I choose an emoji before tapping “Done,” the task name is lost. This is one picky llama and you have to do things her way.
Just now I had a task list with just one item. I returned to it to add another one, and the list now contained six or seven more tasks all called “Untitled task” and with (appropriately) a “?” emoji on each. I had to clear the whole list and create my task again from scratch. This is not helping!
This llama also expects you to comply with her rules about moving tasks to the main list before completing them. If you happen to finish tasks without your phone in front of you, and with the task still in the “Later” list, she won’t let you clear it until you move it to the main list and tap “Complete.”
I do appreciate the app and I want it to improve and succeed. But there are many steps between here and there. By 2027 I hope to update this review and give 5 stars to an indispensable app that I can’t live without and can recommend without hesitation.

Alarm doesn’t work:-(
Really wanted to love this app., as I’m the target audience. But it’s very “almost”. For example, it’s nice to assign colors to tasks, but there’s no space to actually color code (work, school, chores etc.) or make notes. There’s other stuff but the biggest thing is that 3x now, the alarm didn’t sound when a task ended, which obviously screws up my schedule and is…the whole point of the app!! Yes I updated, settings adjusted, but no dice. Emailed twice and no answer. Literally no choice but to cancel my subscription.

Just another Subscription Scam
Says it’s free but once you get into it, it’s just another subscription that’ll suck on your wallet for the rest of your life. Shame. I was excited to use it. Then it says it’ll charge you in a week if you don’t cancel within a week. THEN THE ONLY OPTION TO DELETE AND CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT IS A 30 DAY DELAYED DELETION. If you charge me, then I’m going to be livid. I did NOT agree to any purchases.

If you miss 30/30…
At last - here’s an app to replace 30/30. I’ve been looking for this for years!

Keeps undoing my changes.
It's been great until recently. However, now, every time I make changes (add items for the day, rearrange the list, etc.), once the app closes, it reverts to its previous state. Even if the timer is running on an item, it just switches to the item that was at the top of the list previously and runs the timer for that item. It's really frustrating! I have a screen recording I'd be happy to share with support if I could contact them somehow!

needs internet to work
Its frustrating that you can't update anything with a lack of internet connection. at least half of the time I wanted to use this, I don't have an internet connection and that won't be changing. I have no intention of using this on any other device than my phone,
so I don't need any connection. Also, the breakdown tasks can't be edited, so when it generates nonsense(most of the time) I can't change it to works for me. Makes the feature worthless.

Amazing app and customer service
I’ve used Llama Life for so long now, that I even had made a separate account for an old job I no longer work at, in addition to my personal account! I hadn’t realized I was still doubly subscribed with that old email until my card was charged, but as soon as I reached out to the Llama Life team about it, they located the old account, canceled the recurring renewal and refunded my money. I’m grateful that an app that has been working so well for me also comes with a caring and passionate developer!

I LLiterally LLove LLama LLife
This app has literally changed my day for the better! It is so helpful has visual timers, and fun customizables it’s perfect for people who want a set routine. You can even make premade lists, which is perfect because now I don’t need the checklist that I use every morning. This is the best app I’ve ever got for lists. thank you so much.
P.S. I have ADHD and it’s perfect for it!

Good app, but slow to open
The app is well-designed, however I quibble that it takes approximately one to two minutes for the app to open for the first time each day (this has been the case for a week or two now). For reference, I am using iOS 18.5 on an iPhone 12 Pro Max and don’t see an update for the app.
My Favorite App for Time Management
I LOVE Llama Life so much. It’s my favorite app - I wish the app version could handle bulk task importing but otherwise - everything else is perfect! This team is super passionate about what they do and it shows!
Almost there! Add some critical features please!
As a mid-life ADHD-er, this app has helped me better understand how time blindness shows up, and has helped me be more realistic in planning my days. Missing a critical time stamp feature!!!! To know what time tasks were started and competed!!! Please add simple time stamp and this app will be supremely useful!!!!

Amazing app for my adhd and a much happier life!
I struggle with time management, time blindness, prioritising, planning, overwhelm etc etc. I tried llama life free for two weeks and found it so helpful. TBH I was reluctant to pay because I was not sure if I would stick to it and I don’t have much cash so I tried to find a free alternative.
I tried loads of the mainstream ones recommended- but they were all so complex and overwhelming.
Llama life looks deceiving simple. But it works amazingly for me. I had a little system in my house of index cards in a box. My friend suggested it to me because I get so overwhelmed with lists.
Each index card had a task on it and I’d put them in a box standing up with little headers- urgent, medium, long term. A list totally overwhelms me but I found that having each task on a separate card, I could more easily choose what was important and shuffle around my order. And put some back in the box.
I also hate tech of any kind so not keen on apps but came across a podcast with llama life creator which inspired me to then search for the app.
It’s like my little cards plus it’s colourful and pretty to look at. The confetti after each task helps boost me a little. I can shuffle my cards around into different orders. I can prioritise by moving some onto the ‘ not now’ list so I can just focus on what I’m doing today in the next few hours. The time I’ve estimated for each task is then translated into real time at the top of the task so I know when I finish a task and whether the MANY tasks I’m planning will fit into my day.
I nearly always run over on my estimations of time. I love that you can choose to let time roll over so you can see how long u actually spent. And the little summary page is brilliant at the end of the day. I take a screenshot at the end of my eve and then clear the completed tasks for the next day. With time ( if I get round to it) I’d like to look at my screenshots of data and see if I can get better at judging time.
Another handy thing is if I’ve planned e.g. put washing out and then something distracts me while doing this task and the timer is ticking away, I can add it to my task description so I can still track my activity and time taken.
I honestly never write reviews and I never thought I’d love an app on my phone but after two weeks without it, I really wanted to buy it because it feels so helpful for keeping me focused. I am so happy to support fellow adhd creators for the time and clarity of this app. I thank them from the bottom of my never ending bottomless to-do list! And heart 💙👍

LOVE it so far but would really like if there was a watch integration (separate from the To Do app)
Best customer support
I’ve used this app for over a year and it’s the best! Helps me more than any other app or platform has with staying on task. On top of a great product, their team is always so helpful and friendly when you have questions. I bumped into an issue downloading the desktop app on a new work computer and Marie was with me every step of the way!!
