Nice app, even nicer free trial
Anyone with adhd knows that free trials are a nightmare and trying to cancel them is a whole ordeal. So I really really really appreciate the fact that I am allowed to try this app out without having to sign up for anything or put my card in or sign up through the Apple Store for the trial.
Anyways, I haven’t been using it for long (still in the trial lol) but I’m liking the app a lot! I like that it’s basic and there isn’t a ton of extra stuff you don’t need. If you don’t want to do a task now, just say not now. No scheduling or notifications needed.
I haven’t made any preset lists yet, I’ll probably wait until I’m able to pay for a subscription and then try those out then. But, just kinda adding tasks throughout the day is working for me on its own. I don’t want to get too overwhelmed with the lists!

Time boxing that works
Llama life has saved my mornings! I have a list of tasks that need to be done every day, plus I write best before noon so I want to get some focused time in as well. Before Llama life I forgot steps or got distracted or spent longer than I meant to on various things. Now I load my morning routine into Llama life when I wake up and get all my “must dos”’done by lunch time.
Also it’s adorable and fun.

It’s EXACTLY what I need… locked 100% behind a paywall
They let you click it away, but then anything you click pulls up the paywall again no matter what you tap. Meaning this app isn’t free in any way, shape, or form.
Want to love it, but bugs are bugging me
Llama Life in early 2026 is a half-finished app with distracting quirks. And we all know how ADHDers love a distraction. <s>
When I name a task, the name is not saved unless I tap “Done” on the keyboard. If I switch apps to, say, check a date or copy a note, the task name will be gone when I return to Llama Life.
Even staying within the app, if I choose an emoji before tapping “Done,” the task name is lost. This is one picky llama and you have to do things her way.
Just now I had a task list with just one item. I returned to it to add another one, and the list now contained six or seven more tasks all called “Untitled task” and with (appropriately) a “?” emoji on each. I had to clear the whole list and create my task again from scratch. This is not helping!
This llama also expects you to comply with her rules about moving tasks to the main list before completing them. If you happen to finish tasks without your phone in front of you, and with the task still in the “Later” list, she won’t let you clear it until you move it to the main list and tap “Complete.”
I do appreciate the app and I want it to improve and succeed. But there are many steps between here and there. By 2027 I hope to update this review and give 5 stars to an indispensable app that I can’t live without and can recommend without hesitation.

Alarm doesn’t work:-(
Really wanted to love this app., as I’m the target audience. But it’s very “almost”. For example, it’s nice to assign colors to tasks, but there’s no space to actually color code (work, school, chores etc.) or make notes. There’s other stuff but the biggest thing is that 3x now, the alarm didn’t sound when a task ended, which obviously screws up my schedule and is…the whole point of the app!! Yes I updated, settings adjusted, but no dice. Emailed twice and no answer. Literally no choice but to cancel my subscription.
