You can do better

I’ve used many gig apps and this is one of the least trustful. There is no way to rate a business or a shift you work, and they don’t give the information of the hiring company you will actually be working under. This very important because it’s not uncommon for the companies that use these apps to treat the contract workers terribly, and there is NO way to follow up if you’ve experienced discrimination, abuse, or harassment. They also claim there are benefits included like health insurance, sick leave, etc and there is NONE of that available. You can’t even cancel a gig if you’re sick or have an emergency without your account being deactivated. The cherry on top is payment is LOW and SLOW. Use Qwick, Tend, Instawork, Gigpro, Shiftsmart literally any other gig app. This one ain’t it.

No customer service or support for gig workers

I booked my gigs, I showed up to work. No one in the chat ever responds back. When you call for help it says no one is available and just makes you leave a message but no one calls back. I went to the address provided. Didn’t give the name of the location because I show up and it’s a bunch of hotels. I walk in and have to explain to them who I’m checking in with trying to get help because the gig isn’t with the hotel, I find out it’s for a client who booked a meeting room inside the hotel. Would of been nice to know instead of the hotel staff thinking I’m trying to get info about a guest. I’m there with another gig worker, and the client isn’t there. Their customers are there waiting asking us when the event starts and I’m apologizing that I’m have zero info and no response from the client either. She shows up half an hour late. Then says she meant she needed a banquet attendant. Her associate shows up and they decide to cancel us and won’t need us for that day or tomorrow. Then she claims it was supposed to be canceled by Adia but Adia still shows it booked rsvpd and everything and they even sent me a notification to remind me to rsvp. So I wasted time, no response from anyone at Adia. Now I can’t cancel the next shift because it’s been rsvp’d and ILL BE THE ONE penalized for this. Would give 0 stars if possible. Am I getting paid for for showing up to work? No clue.

App needs to be fixed

I’m giving this app a 3/5 because the app needs to be fixed. I got paid from working at a Retail Worker position for UPS. The thing was the chat function on the app still shows 1 notification and it wouldn’t go away. I had to message on the app if I’m working overtime, which I was. The chat still showed 1 notification and it was the same message that I’ve sent. Also, when I was trying to book for the Retail Worker position at UPS, there was an error stating that the gig was filled up, however, it was still on Book Gig and not on Standby. I clicked on it again and still said the same thing. I even closed and reopened the app again and it was still under Book Gig and when I clicked on it, the gig was filled up. I waited for several hours until I finally got the gig. The app needs to be more consistent with their gigs and when the gigs are full and should be on Standby. Also the chat feature needs to not show one notification, which I felt that’s a huge bug. I wanted to give it 4/5 but 3 stars is fine with this app.

Down hill

When i first downloaded this app maybe a year ago i was getting gigs! Now, i get nothing ! I will get a notification that my reserved job is available. I always click on it right away and then I’ll get an error message, it’ll take for ever to load and then I’ll get a message saying job was snagged. When i don’t have a job the app loads with no problems but when it’s time to claim MY RESERVED JOB it was to coincidentally glitch. Orr i will get a message the job is available and then it doesn’t show or allow me to book gig. They need to fix this, y’all are playing with individual’s time, patience and money! There’s obvious reasons why people download these apps. Also, if a job that i reserved is available i should have a grace period to accept. There’s no reason my reserved job is available for other people. That defeats the purpose of a reserved gig

Employers Cancel - NEVER able to work

I downloaded this app around end of December 2022/first of January 2023. It is now mid February 2023. I have signed up for/booked a total of 15 separate jobs. I have also been put in as a backup for a job that filled up either 3 or 4 times. Each gig I agreed to work, the employer cancelled without exception. They would cancel from near the moment I booked up to the one day prior to the shift start date. The ones I was given on backup status I never heard anything further from. So, please do not waste your time as I did. The worst part is I am pretty sure this is just a scam for your social security number and banking information, possibly. In a way I rather hope it is… at least that way someone gets something out of this.
