In the cockpit this app along with the ADL170 data link unit is second best only to a fully blown storm scope and a fraction of the cost.
On the ground a very useful app indeed for showing exactly where the weather is. I use it for every IFR flight and even when putting the washing out!

Indispensable for European IFR pilots
Such a great app. Of course,you need one of Sebastian's devices in your aircraft - this app connects to it and lets you download weather in-flight.

Sebastian Golze’s app is the nearest that most European pilots can get to the free live in-cockpit ADSB weather info enjoyed by our counterparts in the USA. Completely free of advertising, ADLConnect shows precipitation, lightning strikes, temperature cloud tops, TAFs, METARs and wind barbs.
The highly compressed WX data downloads use mobile data networks at low and moderate altitudes and/or a satellite dongle where there’s no mobile signal.
