Endless loading
The endless “spinning wheel of death” (aka the loading screen) is not something you want to see when you’re trying to use your home security system.
Unfortunately, that’s pretty much all the ADT app gives me. It simply doesn’t work: the loading wheel spins endlessly, with no error message and no way to access the alarm controls.
For a security app, reliability isn’t a nice-to-have. It’s the whole point.

Not easy to use
Terrible layout, confusing, features and settings hidden away and hard to find or understand. Cant record/download clips as and when you need, the geofence rules not easy to understand - I’ve had to leave it as the engineer set it as I’m worried I may accidentally disable something. I somehow managed to get a voice warning on one the cameras, but for the life of me I can’t find the setting to disable that again. If you are used to Ring and HIKVision app (which is incredibly logical and easy to use) you will find this app confusing and illogical. Kinda put me off ADT if I’m honest, you have to trust what the engineer has done and leave it at that unless you spend hours testing and figuring it out for yourself. Also to add, in an emergency ADT can’t even access your camera so they have no idea what is going on the property, all they do is call you, you have to check for yourself and call the police. Rubbish to be honest. My Rung cameras does practically the same thing. Would get Verisure next time as they can see what’s going on - tell you if a car has pulled up to your drive and read you the number plate and call the police if needed + their app is easy to use. I have HIKVision in a commercial property and Ring cameras in another house so I can compare and Verisure on almost all my family properties. Not a happy fella.

Batteries drain in just a few weeks. AI assist is of no help.

This is the worst app I use. Features are not easy to find. Very difficult to set recording rules.

It’s a rip off you pay so much money for a service that you are not receiving and please do not sign in to a contract as you will get ripped off.

This app is absolutely awful if your camera picks someone up you click on that camera and it take forever to load by the time it loads If it don’t time out who ever is there have gone this app it a nightmare @ADT do something about this app look what people are saying we are paying for a service and getting nothing

This app is so slow you click on a camera to view it by the time it loads the person that activated the trip while has gone

The app is poor, really slow, rarely connects first time, would not recommend for a ‘speedy’ check on your property

Slow operating
The app takes ages to connect so when trying to arm or disarm the alarm, whether at home or away, takes around5 minutes.

Not very responsive - Slow App
The app is very slow and takes long to load doorbell and other cameras from Mobile App and also Panel.
Basic good but complex
Not easy to set up rules for camera trip wires - AI object recognition boot good - would have expected more
