Disappointed
I’ve recently changed phones and I am trying to set up this app on my new phone it’s refusing to work even when I’m pressing reset as I forgot my password but it refused to work I wasn’t able to get any assistance at my local when I went to sort it out as it still didn’t work so now I’m stuck without my bank app and it’s so difficult

Doesn't work on IOS
It’s surprising how commercial banks have heavily invested in the digital space, yet African Bank seems to see it as unnecessary. You can’t tell me that for over three years, they haven't been able to fix issues with the app—such as it not working on iPhones or being unable to sign in. It's frustrating how the bank doesn’t seem to listen to our feedback.

Worst banking app ever
This app is really bad it needs more work, every time there is an update it ruins something else. Right now you cannot transfer money from your savings to your cheque account and vice versa. And the bank says that the IT department is still working on it but it’s weeks. I am unable to use my funds which are in my savings account.

Can’t send money
The app is bad yhoo. I’ve been trying to send money out via pay sharp and keep getting Technical Error since yesterday, then I tried eft and it also gives me the same error message. What nonsense is this

The fact that you cannot use the app without data bores me to death. All other banks you can access the app when you data has depleted
New update is not user friendly.
It’s not a better user experience when things have been moved around that I can’t find the option to transfer mine easily between accounts.

Morons are working on this app! Fail to understand simple basic coding concepts if I could give a true rating it would be zero! Because why is nothing ever working if it isn’t the USSD system to approve payments, it is the PayShap system. It’s a shame that you were hired at AB to deliver such a mediocre banking service. Terrible App to work with.
Such an inconvenience to work with! And mostly during crucial times when desperate to use the app. It’ll give you errors that don’t make sense! African Bank has a lot of bugs to fix!

The new update makes you log in again when you try to redeem your points and I still can’t redeem them even after logging in three times
Unable to register
The worst app experience ever. I have tried several times to register on the app, at the last window, it says that it is unable to fulfil my request. I have gone to the bank several times to register and they also are unable to assist. Someone mentioned that Apple users aren’t able to register. If that’s the case, are the developers failing to fix it? At this point, I just want to get rid of this account

I can’t not log onto the app even though I am sure I have the right credentials. It keep saying “we are unable to satisfy this request at the moment” every single time I try. This happened to me last year when I changed my phone and tried to log in and I even went to the African branch thinking maybe I have the wrong credentials. Again this year when I even saved the login credentials. No! This app is absolute trash🚮

The worst banking app ever.
I beg you. Please don’t open a banking account with this bank because this app is just horrible. I have to go into the bank on a monthly basis because of a new problem everytime. This app is not user friendly and logging In is a nightmare. At this point I just want to close my account with them and go somewhere else. This is a highly disappointed customer after I had so much faith In the bank and what it stood for.

Investment withdrawal issue
I have an investment account with the My World Acc for African Bank and the notice period is 7 days. Every time when I try to withdraw a portion of my money via the app after clicking confirm it just kicks me out of the app and times me out. Every single time. I have deleted and downloaded the app many times I still face the same issue. What’s up with that?? It’s such an inconvenience now I have to go to the branch.

Nonsense App
I am sick and tired of this nonsense App and online banking that does not serve my needs nothing but only inconvenience. Credentials this and that all the time and everyone making the same review and the bank can’t provide a solution. I mean all banks have Apps and they’re working just fine but African bank can’t figure out what works for them??? What is that. Nonsense!!

No Access!
This app can’t, for some odd reason, grant me access. I always have to use the desktop because the app always has some “error”. It’s quite irritating when on the move. This issue has been happening for a VERY long time.
Unable to perform instant EFT
The purpose of having a banking app is for convenience but this app fails dismally on providing that component.
I always get irritated when I have to make an online payment because there’s always an issue regardless of whether it’s instant or normal once off payments.

Speed and Data Connectivity
The app takes time to load and can you please at least make the app to work without Data/ data-less in all telecommunication providers mode because some of us barely buy data
Don’t use African Bank
This is honestly the worst banking experience i’ve ever had. i was charged for my FREE card replacement, i went to the branch and filed a complaint but the ticket was said to be resolved whilst i hadn’t even received a call. i sent an email and no response. the transaction doesn’t even show up on my app so it seems as though money just disappeared into thin air. 0 stars. would not recommend
