For those who are stuck:
if you wanna enable the extension, first go to safari, then go to any website, then click the button on the right of the refresh button. It should look like a rectangle with 2 lines underneath it. Click on manage extensions, turn it on then boom shakalaka its done

Working for me
AI overview is gone for search results on desktop.
The AI Mode button is still there however, and the “People also ask” section is seemingly disabled, just FYI.

so happy
i started using another search engine that didn't show the AI overview but it limited the results shown. i'm so excited to not have to scroll past the first bit of a search to see a real website
Works great
Very simple and straightforward extension. Simply removes the AI Overview and AI-powered “People Are Saying” sections from Google search. Setup was extremely easy so I’m not quite sure what other reviews mean when they say that it’s difficult.
