Terrible UI, and full of glitches
It’s rare today to see an app that provides such poor UX. It’s slow, buggy, duplicated security verification processes everywhere, and forcing you to go through highly unoptimized processes to book a ticket, with instructions that are often unclear and sometimes grammatically wrong. And just by using it, you will have a strong sense that their backend systems are a mess too (why do they have different sets of passwords and IDs for air china account and phoenix-miles account? And guess which one you should use to log on to their official website? It will surprise you. And you can’t even see the bookings made on their official website airchina.us)
By the way, this app is not the worst. Their US website is worse.

Why a simple check in becomes so complicated
If I could rate it 0 star, I would.
Worst airline app I’ve ever used—unusable verification process
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this app is a complete failure.
Air China's website is severely outdated and constantly crashing, so I downloaded the app to manage my booking. To even access my account, US passport holders are forced through a mandatory "personal identification" process.
The NFC scanner completely failed, claiming my scanned info didn't match my account (even though it was identical). The only other option is uploading a selfie holding my passport for a manual review.
Requiring manual passport verification just to view an existing flight reservation is absurd. I gave up and deleted the app. A state-owned flag carrier should have basic digital infrastructure that actually works. Avoid. It shows the true color of state run garbage.

乘机感受
每次乘坐国航飞行 都感觉国航的软件服务绝对一流 ，没有什么可说。可是谈到硬件真是有太多问题了 既然是国际航班 那么基本设施有很多问题 充电接口松弛 脚踏板损坏 厕所马桶泛黄陈旧不堪等等 机上餐食水平有待提高 特别是酒水饮料太普通 好像国际航班使用很多国际大牌品种 比如想使用一些烈度酒水基本没有 有时想食用方便面食也是没有 可以向同行国泰航空 香港航空 日本航空学习一下 提高一些 真正达到国际高水平的航空服务标准 。拙见于此 望改善 致谢！多年一老乘客
喜欢国航
在职时，多年来一直选乘国航出国，国航服务规范，优质，喜欢阅读飞机上的刊物（鹏程，还是什么，忘记名字）了。退休以后，我的国航知音卡丢失了，后来又多次乘坐国航，不知道是否自动积分，还是要补办知音卡。祝国航越办越好！黄女士
Nothing works!
I don’t often write reviews but this app is hopeless. Can’t check in. Can’t retrieve booking itinerary details. Can’t create an account. Can’t edit any existing bookings without paying for some sort of subscription? Can’t even search flight details with flight numbers, of which a simple google search would bring those details up. What’s the point of this app? It’s a mystery to me.

Air China est la pire compagnie en terme de réservation.
Site internet, impossible d'acheter de billets sans que le site bug, c'est le cas sur tout les appareils, et idem sur l'application.
Visiblement ils ne veulent pas de notre argent. Pas grave on ira voir les autres compagnies

Handynummer Verifizierung schlagt immer fehl bzw es kommt egal wie nichts an, und ohne geht gar nichts nicht mal der support

之前注册过知音会员，下载app手机号登录后不显示会员状态，在软件上进行操作没有权限，弹窗显示需要需要升级为凤凰知音会员才能办理。好，你们app上不自动绑定我之前的会员卡那我接着你给的操作，重新注册，信息都填写完成后，显示您已是凤凰会员无法从新办理。行呢，我去找找绑定会员的入口呗，找了半天要么没权限点不进去，要么没找到。之后我想着问问客服反应一下呗，显示需要升级为凤凰会员才能办理......
