Seems like a scam
Having to create an account before seeming how the app works is normally annoying. Requiring my phone number was too far for me. I get enough scam calls as it is. Reading other reviews that the app requires logging into your bank accounts to add credit cards is crazy.
Banking info??
Why would I need to link my bank to get 10%. Hard no.
Card Linking
Good idea to support small business. However, I don’t know why I would need to log into my bank account in order to link my card. That alone made me delete the app. I should be able to link my card without logging in. I know it says it’s secure but I’m a bit of a skeptic.

Being rewarded for shopping local!
The Akronite app is one of my favorite things to come out of 2020. At first, I was a bit confused on how it worked, but I soon found out how simple it is. Once you link your cards to the app, the work is done! Just continue shopping around at your favorite Akron businesses, and odds are you’ll be rewarded :) The redemption process is super simple too, the business owners will help you when you go to do it. Shopping local and being rewarded for it is a win/win for us all!
