I love how you can open your garage and close it from literally anywhere. Seems to work almost every time. I do notice sometimes it will say sending request and it’s already open. Other than that pretty reliable.

This app is fantastic. It’s quick to load. It works every single time, it’s incredibly easy to use, it’s free, it’s not always trying to sell me something. It tells you who/what opened the door. It’s even customizable on thing like alerts after x number of minutes, etc. I have the MyQ app for another newer nicer opener but if I had to choose I’d take this older Genie opener because of how awesome this app is. I genuinely can not suggest any improvement, it’s perfect as is.

Useful App
This app is very easy to set up and use. Always have my opener on me. My only suggestion is to have it on CarPlay so you can open it on the screen.

Not working
I added a door to my app and it’s connected to wifi. The door button shows door disabled and will never clear no matter what I try. It recognizes when the door is open and closed though. I emailed their support a week ago and never got a response.
Lifesaver
I was away for an event and my neighbor texted me that my garage door was opened. We had gotten into the car that was facing the street and not the garage. At the time, I had not completed the process of using this app when I first moved in… 😮💨I asked her to put in the code to close it but it wasn’t working. So I asked her to make sure the door entering my house was locked. When I came home, I immediately completed the process. Now I feel safer knowing that I can close my garage door without being there.

More than simply functional
Fantastic product and app with alerts as well as door control from app. The door also sounds a distinct audible alert prior to moving.

Doesn’t work with modern WiFi?
I have an amazing network 1 gb up and down. Strong WiFi. Can’t get my professional line garage door setup.
Gave it its own 2.4 ghz network.
Try again locks up when you confirm you have what you need . Can’t continue and I have to delete and reconnect for each try

Issues
It won’t connect with my garage door because it hasn’t allowed permission to join I keep having these issues I even talk to tech-support. It’s just a bad app.

Genie door openers used to be the best. Over-engineered hardware and software. Stay away from the doors and the app

Works well. So much better than before we had it, could be improved though similar to nest where gives reminders if the door is open after a certain time so I don’t accidentally leave open all night!

When I am with friends and do not have a control it is handy to have my phone Apt to open or close my door. I really like it.
