Doesn’t work well with CarPlay
I’m a physician who uses AlertMD for scheduling, billing and as a paging app. Slow up update and sync. Also, app not updated for iOS 18. You would hope a company would update their app when a new OS goes live, especially when an app is used a communication tool and for getting in touch with docs when patients are involved. Also, notifications do not work with CarPlay. I don’t receive messages and notifications while driving, which are urgent and need to be responded to in a timely manner. When I reached out to support, they discounted my complaint. Poor customer service. Billing however is the upside to the app.

Excellent Technical Support
I am an Interface Programmer for a health system. AlertMD is a vendor to us. I am used to dealing with one unresponsive vendor after another. Not so with AlertMD. We rarely need to contact their technical customer support but when we do they are quick to respond and provide immediate solutions.
Great business partner
AlertMD has been a terrific business partner for our home therapy service offering. They have created a robust Geo-location platform in order to match therapists with home patience. They have worked with us on other helpful projects as well, and have increased the visibility of our service offering via their homepage and communication channels. I would highly recommend AlertMD for similar business needs.

Amazing Support and Deployment
As both a Nurse Informatics and IT director for a 300+ bed hospital in a major market, I have had the opportunity to deploy many health IT applications. This app is incredibly useful for the providers, very versatile, provides great ease of use and a huge return on investment, but my main reason for 5 stars, is the outstanding support and fantastic deployment experience. Great app
I have used other charge and billing apps and in comparison AlertMD is easy to use, takes less time to learn application. This app reduced cumbersome paper processes and ease of reporting data a definite plus!

Great support for our group
We have a large practice with multiple sites of care. The app has done an amazing job keeping up with us and our complexity. The support staff is very responsive and addresses any issues quickly. We are very happy with the performance of the app and the people behind it.
AMD Fantastic for work flow and billing
I’m part of a large 24 physician cardiology practice and have been using ALertMD for several years. It has completely changed the way we organize our day. We used to flounder every morning trying to figure out who was seeing which patients, which patients were not active, which patients we didn’t have to see on a given day, which patients were new consults, which doctor was going to see which patients etc.
Using Alert MD and it’s “flags” feature we are able to assign ourselves patients as well as assign patients to other MDs at multiple hospitals. We have created flags that allow us to indicate to our partners which patients they don’t need to see on weekends, which are EP, which are appropriate for APN/NP to see, which are just procedure admits etc. all this is easily customizable and done with a single click.
It’s very easy to see which patients have not been rounded on or missed. We no longer need to print up a hospital list or discuss with those rounding the patient assignments. Everything is now done on AlertMD.
Best of all it ties in to our hospital census so it’s always accurate. Census is up to date at midnight after the patient is discharged. New consults show up immediately with a green flag and we are now often aware of the consult before the office is even called.
Billing is an easy click or two and can copy your billing, diagnosis and patient list from the prior day with single clicks.
Revenues from previously lost billing has
Made up for the cost many many times over as you can easily see which patients you may not have billed. On top of this so can your billing service. Our average lag time as a group to get our billing to our billers is now less than 1 day!

The support is excellent. When we make a request it’s often addressed right away.
We went from one EMR in the hospital to another which caused some glitches in the census etc but it was fixed within a day or two.
I would like to have the ability to have favorite filters and flip between them as it would save a few clicks.

Great app, stupidly large update files
I’m a doctor that uses this product for my billing. It’s functionality and ease of use is great. But my one complaint is that the updates are frequent and YUGE. This app stops working in the middle of my work day, after using it most of the day, and demands a 150MB download. It’s frustrating.

Better than medimobile and pmdsoft
I've used both and this is much more user friendly and reasonably priced compared to the other two major players. I've been using it for 4 years and have had no issues.

Very user friendly app with superb technical support. Have been an avid user and fits perfectly into the intensive care unit work flow. Learning curve very easy to master most times within a few minutes.

Excellent for ICD 10
Search function is much faster than the older ICD 9 version.
