Alerts for Reddit allows you to receive real-time notifications for new posts and comments on Reddit. You can set up alerts for specific subreddits or individual users, ensuring you never miss content that interests you. The app also offers advanced filtering options to further refine your notifications.
You can customize notifications by adding or removing subreddits and users at any time. Additionally, you can set the notification frequency for each alert, choosing options like 'Trending: More' for frequent updates, 'Trending: Fewer' for breaking news, or 'All' for every new post. Keyword filtering allows you to specify terms that must or must not be present in post titles or comments.
The app offers a free tier that allows you to set up to three alerts of your choice. For more extensive notification needs, such as receiving notifications for more than three subreddits or users, or for faster 'All' post notifications, you can upgrade to Premium or Premium Speed through a subscription.
No, you do not need to log in or link your Reddit account to use Alerts for Reddit. You can set up alerts for any public subreddit or user directly through the app. This makes it convenient for users who prefer not to associate their main Reddit account with third-party applications.
When you receive a notification, it will launch you directly to the relevant post or comment. If you have a Reddit app installed on your phone, the notification will open it directly. If you do not have a Reddit app, it will open the content in your mobile browser, providing seamless access to the Reddit content.
