About

Alla Romana splits expenses among friends, flatmates and travel companions — no mental math, and no account to create. • Add an expense, pick who paid and how to split it: equally, exact amounts, percentages or shares. • The app works out who owes what to whom with the fewest payments. • Create groups for home, trips, a couple or work and keep the books separate. • Add people who don't use the app as group members: they pay, owe and get repaid like everyone else. • Attach a receipt photo: the app reads the amount and date right on your device. • Recurring expenses, stats with category budgets, search, group notifications, Siri and a quick-add widget, PDF and CSV export. Your data lives in YOUR iCloud, not on a server of ours. No account, no trackers, no ads. Shared groups sync across your devices and with the other members through iCloud. Without iCloud the app still works, just on that one device.

What's New in Alla Romana

1.0.5

August 1, 2026

Accepting an invitation now takes you into the group. The app used to look exactly as it did before, with the group turning up whenever it happened to: now you can see it coming, and the moment it's there, you're in it. Also fixed in this version: • The button to add an expense is no longer the "+" in the top corner: it's a labelled button at the bottom, where your thumb already is. • The group screen no longer offers the same two buttons twice in different orders: "Invite" and "Add person" appear once, always in the same order, with nothing cut off. • "Invite" now shows only for the group's owner — for everyone else it opened a screen that could only say no. • A group shared with you can no longer stay invisible: the app asks iCloud which groups are there, instead of relying on a single announcement that can go missing.
