Forced email disclosure
Can’t even look at the app without disclosing your email. They claim it’s for your safety, but that’s what iCloud is for. I smell something stinky.
A way to keep it together while trying to get it together.
It has taken me several decades to be able to try to organize my mind well enough to make evident dreams. This app is the Border Collie for the creative stock in my mind. It keeps me Mooooving!
Good idea, but needs refining
The interface is far too clunky. I spent 5-10 mins just trying to put a photo from the inbox onto a board. Sometimes it works, other times not. If a user has to struggle with the most basic functions (dragging and dropping) then I’d say the app is probably still half-baked.

Too expensive
Absurdly expensive subscription price for an app that has so many cheap or free alternatives.
Their website show this app has been updated only 3 times in the past two years. I’m not spending $10 a month, or $70 a year for the devs to do almost nothing.

Unzugänglich und keine Testmöglichkeit
Die Idee des Programms spricht mich sehr an und ist eigentlich genau was ich suche. Ich konnte mir die Logik der Bedienung nicht erarbeiten. Die Hilfe Funktion ist verwirrend. Wenn ich Hilfe über ein Bord brauche, dass ich nicht bedienen kann, hilft es mir nicht wenn ich das Bord bedienen können muss, um Hilfe zu bekommen . Schon nach 5 Minuten Testen erreicht man das Limit von 100 Karten und kann nicht mehr weiter probieren und muss ein Abo abschließen. Der Support reagiert sehr träge. Schade.

No iPhone Apo
In 2025, there’s no usable phone app to reference anything that you’ve worked on.
Not very usable on external screen
For some reason almost everything in my boards is blurry when using external monitor. It doesn't have the highest resolution but every other app or content is sharp. Text in Muse is very hard to read and hard on the eyes.

This app is easy to use to take your information and organize it. Sort of fun to use, but has lots of great features too.
Bug - hold Multi fingers to switch tools
Just doesn’t work on my iPad. Also, since I use my Apple Pencil heavily, it’d be nice to have a circular pen kit that I can move around. Pens can be customised, just like the pen stand on my rest. Different types, colours, brush sizes - I love how muse lets me create multiple presets, it’s handy. Some apps make you change the pen settings (brush side for example) which affects every other colour which is not intended.
Also, you could use better icons for pens.

Lieblings-App
Muse nutze ich mittlerweile schon lange. Muse ist in der Kombination von iPad, Mac und iPhone besonders praktisch, wobei es auch auf dem iPad allein genutzt werden kann. Die iPhone-App dient dem Sammeln von Inhalten, auf dem Mac fehlt lediglich die Möglichkeit, handschriftlich zu notieren, aber man kann dafür dort besser organisieren. Auf dem iPad bietet Muse verschachtelte Boards, die beliebige Inhalte haben können.
Ich nutze die App für meinen Unterricht in Musiktheorie und packe in die Boards Texte, Audios, Videos, Bilder, die ich beliebig anordnen kann. PDFs kann man direkt in Muse super präsentieren. Die Oberfläche ist bewusst minimalistisch, das ist ein ästhetischer Traum! Nicht einmal Milanote ist so schön und flexibel (ist auch nur einigermaßen zum Präsentieren geeignet.
Der Support ist übrigens großartig (danke, Adam!).
Ich würde gerne noch mehr Sterne geben, aber das Maximum muss reichen.

Great app! But…
I love it so far! But I’d like to have more control over my pen colors and to have at least 3 maybe 4? Workspaces be the limit instead of two? Feels too limiting in my opinion.
