Vanquishes Ads
A podcast player that eliminates ads, even the ones that are mid-cast! No more having to constantly skip ahead several times per episode. A true differentiator. That’s worth five stars on its own. Clean, simple interface is great too, including pod 2.0 features. Doesn’t take forever to view/load the latest episodes like Apple’s native player.
Only tweaks I’d recommend are reduce the card size of the episodes (reformat to get rid of blank space) so you can see more eps on the screen at once. And increase the font. You can barely read those show notes/descriptions.

Tipping function
Some of your reviewers mention a built-in tipping interface that one can use to support favorite creators. I'm not sure how to access this (iPhone) and I wonder if this is because of a limitation of my older phone model or because the app doesn't make this functionality super clear. Could you advise how to access this?

Hey, thanks so much for the feedback! Agree on the logo. We hadn’t even thought of letting people pick the colours for the app icon. We’ll look into it. Only two of us right now so we’re pretty tight on time/resources. And yes it is based on the Italian word Allora (easier to spell with 1 L you know haha). Appreciate the feedback and we will certainly look into your thoughts time permitted! As for your tipping question, we had to get rid of that feature for now because not many people used it. If we do add it back we will make sure it’s available across every device so you won’t miss out!
Branding
Fantastic app. Tried everything to find automation. Yours beats all competition hands down. Small piece of constructive feedback - you should have a cooler logo (a microphone is pretty generic and isn't tied to your name). Could be more sleek and high budget looking. And why not give users the option to choose different looks for the app icon, like my previous player (pocket casts) does? For example I'm more of a dark mode person, so the white logo chafes. Also: I assume your app name is a stylisation of the Italian for "on time"? Most non speakers wont get this, and it's cool to know. So maybe you could mention the Italian connection, or say "delivered on time" in your description or something. Or put a time reference into the logo.

Best Podcast Player
I’ve searched high and low for a podcast player that removes ads. Most that I’ve found played more ads then prevented them, took forever to analyze the podcast, burned through my battery, or made my iPhone so hot that I was scared my phone was going to burst into flames. Alora is awesome - it catches all the ads (seriously), my battery doesn’t deplete, and my phone doesn’t run hot. The creators/developers are great - so helpful and responsive. I can’t wait to see how this player evolves. Download it - you will not regret it!

This app has saved my life a million times! I have gotten into arguments with my friend over what did lex Friedman actually say. I used Alora and it was easy to provide evidence to support my claims. Also love supporting creators on their work.
