Trash DSP and a joke of an app
The Optim amplifier is for all intents and purposes a pi$$ poor attempt at a DSP + amplifier by Alpine. It is light years behind competitors like Audison, Helix, and even more basic systems from JBL and Audiocontrol.
This app is a joke and doesn't work with the 2.0 version of the amplifier, which is still currently for sale as of this review. Alpine dealer support just shrugs their shoulders at you when you run into technical challenges. AVOID.

What is bass rev
Come on alpine. You don’t elaborate on anything. What now is “bassrev” function ??????????

Older version worked fine. Updated version doesn’t work at all.

After doing more research, the amp required a firmware update and I’m happy to say it’s working perfectly so far!

Literally the title, you can download and open the app, all of the menus seem to load correctly. When you connect to the amp over bluetooth, it will display in the scan menu but try to select it and nothing happens!

Non working app
App will not connect to amp, complete waste of time. Don’t recommend.
Does not connect
Bluetooth settings says connected but will not connect in app
Won’t connect
Can’t get the App on iPhone to connect. The phone connects and the app can see the dsp but it won’t connect
Worthless
Would be nice if this would actually connect and work.
Super easy to use.
Very intuitive. App only takes a few minutes to get familiar with. Sounds amazing.
