Paywall

Can't even see the app until I pay for it... I was really looking forward to using it.

Not the app for me

I tried this app for a 3 free day trial because it seemed interesting. Once I explored it, I realized it wasn’t something that I needed. I had set a reminder to cancel it, like I always do when I’m trying out an app. I missed the deadline to cancel by a few hours. So it automatically charged me $40 for the year. I was denied the refund. I don’t do annual subscriptions. If it was monthly, I wouldn’t be so irritated about losing out on the money. But for someone who barely scrapes by some months, that $40 withdrawal was a big hit on my budget.

Paywall

I was so excited about this but was not even allowed to try the “free” features without buying? Doesn’t make sense to me I’ll go somewhere else ig

Just beginning

I just started using this app. I like to reflect when I’m smoking a joint. I notice my thoughts go toward the negative after being at work for 8 hours. I just feel like I cannot be myself when I’m at work.

Amazing, but Deceptive

I love this app and will highly recommend it to anyone who can afford a premium subscription. It is full of thoughtful journaling prompts, rich insight, and a community of people who truly want to reflect and connect. I think it is very likely worth the price for anyone who has a few extra dollars to spend every month.

That being said, I was disappointed to find that the entire app is paywalled after a few days of use. I was under the impression that the subscription model would open up additional features, but soon came to realize that I would not even be allowed to read through my own previous entries without at least starting a free trial to the premium subscription. Currently, every time I open the platform, I am immediately locked into a banner advertising the premium subscription with no option to close the ad or view anything else. There is no longer anything to click on besides the button to subscribe, and there is no option for me to actually access the app in any meaningful way without paying to do so.

I wish that this setup was made more clear to users when they first create an account. Again, I do feel like the price of this app is justifiable given its many excellent features— but when it’s listed as a free app, and you are able to access premium features as a new user before ever starting a subscription trial, it becomes a huge bummer to feel like your journal entries have disappeared into the ether without warning until you can scrape enough money together to read through them again. The whole thing just feels like a completely avoidable problem.

Aside from that though, this really is a great app and I thoroughly enjoyed using it while I could. I think anyone who has the extra money to spend would probably benefit a lot from getting involved in such a lovely community. I can understand why it is paywalled, I just really wish that there was more clarity for new users about what that paywall entails and when it will be enacted.

AI bots posing as humans

The app is well designed and it feels cozy in there. I noticed that the first commenters on posts were bots. I’m not sure if anyone is even real on that app or if I’m just talking to myself like a weirdo. I see why they’re doing it, to make it seem active until it becomes more populated but this turned me off and deleted the app.

Self reflecting

App basically became my new journal. Allows me to connect with others and speak about myself freely, PLUS I love the ability the app gives you to choose which state you’re in. Also love the feedback it gives. Fun and helpful

Good

I highly reccomend for mental health help

scummy

app is locked behind a paywall, not to mention the intro/setup that just wastes your time before revealing that you need a subscription to even use the app

ai is disgusting

if you use ai you're disgusting. youre repulsive. youre a disgusting person. we are all going to die in like ten years from lack of cleaning water and it is YOUR FAULT if you use ai! if you die of dehydration in a decade i wont be sorry. ai is disgraceful

Locked out of app

I liked the app and bought a full year subscription. I took a little break from it and got a new phone. When I downloaded it on the new phone, it forces me to go through a new user setup. The “onboarding” is stuck in a continuous loop with no means to actually get back into the app. Every time I finish my “first” journal entry, it forces me back to the beginning of the onboarding which are just mandatory advertising.

You don’t need to advertise to me. I already have an account. I’ve already paid for a subscription. Despite this, I can’t use the app at all. There’s no contact information either. No way to contact anyone for help.

Over priced

For 1 year you are charged $39.99 which equates to $3.33 per month. If you go with a monthly subscription you pay $9.99 per month or $119.88 for the entire year. I understand giving a deal for a full year membership but this is highway robbery. As soon as I saw this I deleted the app.

Paywalled out …

You used to not have to pay to use the basic functionalities of this app. Now there is a paywall before you even get to put your thoughts down. Not worth it.

It’s good for a map

Once I settle down and see how I am conducting myself, and I see it I see how great I am with the app, I can feel the greatest growth that impacts my life, could be for a Career

great, but extremely disappointing.

i enjoyed this app while using the free trial of premium, i thought “sure why not.” the features are phenomenal and the insight it brings is truly more that any other app i’ve experienced. i love the social aspect as well as the privacy. now here comes the not-so-great part. after my trial ended, i lost access to everything in the app. i can’t even view my profile if i intended to delete my data. there’s a constant UNCLOSEABLE popup that tells me to buy premium, no matter what i click on. this isn’t just an experience for me either, my friend also wanted to try the app, but he was met with the same wall. intentional or not, i sent multiple emails to the support team, to no avail. maybe you should be more honest before you say something is “free with premium features.” this app is definitely not free if im unable to even use it or delete my account without premium. until you’re more straightforward about the free vs paid aspect of your app, you will get one star. i will also make sure other users know about this extreme flaw in marketing so they don’t waste their money on it. truly disappointed.
