Terrible Implementation
With very little instructions, I was finally able to figure out how to login and get past the initial set up. I was able to connect my panel and of course it has not worked since. The app will not see the panel again no matter what I do. I can tell by the frequency that this app is updated that it is poorly supported by the developer. I’m returning the light panel, lesson learned.

Very lacking considering the cost
These lights aren’t cheap and it’s frustrating to see such a lackluster app experience. You can’t control the lights across devices and the lights regularly disconnect requiring you to reconnect in a very clumsy way. I bought 10 lights for a permanent studio and it’s such a pita to operate especially when the app decides to log me out and then I have to reconnect each light all over again. Also no iPad app is weird considering the Sidus pro app which I paid for worked well on the tablet.

Privacy Pirates
Requiring someone to give you their personal information like a phone number or email address just to operate a Bluetooth device that you’ve paid for is insidious! It proves that the Company values invading your privacy over creating products with high integrity and quality! No one wants another marketing notification interrupting their workflow and life… NO ONE!

Works well, but..
The app works well, except some of the controls are difficult to touch. It also does not allow to run in landscape mode on the iPad. Every other app I have to control the studio works in landscape mode except for this one.

Been working flawlessly with my Amaranth 60xs, but making an account felt shady. I would recommend using your email instead of phone number.

Spyware - Return the lights!
I already paid for the lights. Now this scum company holds the control app hostage and asks for a ridiculous amount of my personal data as ransom? Go to hades! I’ll return the lights and buy from a reputable company.
Requires an account
There’s no reason an account should be needed to control a light over Bluetooth. It should be optional at minimum.

Stuck on Effects
Basic Light level and colour temperature seem to work fine but when you switch to Effects and then go back basic control, it remains in Effects mode. You can’t seem to switch the effect off even if it’s deselected in Effects. You have to switch the lamp off and re configure. Frustrating.
Any ai bot can design a more reasonable app
We are near an AGI era and apps like these still get approved on app stores! I have 0 code knowledge but I bet I can make a better app if you give me 10 days only.

App does not work
I don’t know what it is, but this app is just not working. Why would a big development company like Amaran have an app that doesn’t work it’s absolutely baffles me. You’ve just lost every credibility from myself and now I’m gonna have to look for another company to maybe spend my money with.

Can’t even enter the app
The app requires registration (why even?) but it does not even work. When attempting to register a new account, the app just says that the email is not registered (well duh).

Fantastic!
They finally replaced the horrible Sidus Link app. That one would forget the screen I was on after switching to another app on my iPhone in just a couple minutes… with slow, painful re-connecting process every time. (Super annoying.) This new app remembers where you were even if the app is in the background and you are using other apps for a while. You pop right in and device is still connected so you can adjust it instantly. Such a nice quality of life improvement!

App is only accessible if you create an account. An account, and all the data collection that goes with it, should not be required to operate local lights over Bluetooth.
