Ghastly
First off my kid loves the app and being able to try out new games, but the content is huge and there is no way to select. You either get 1million or 2 million apps, no ability to select preferred genre just by age filters and there is no sense of order. To boot, the parent app is not simple and the kids cant access the full content on iphone or ipad as the apps are blocked (only books videos etc are available so limited functionality. Given i pay monthly for this, i dont know why i bother. Please give us something simple and easy

Not intuitive
Difficult to navigate. Not intuitive. Can’t add apps.
Content Management is not User Friendly
It is very difficult to remove content from the Home Screen on my kids Fire tablet. You should be able to do it easily in parent mode. I delete something and then it shows up again in ‘Recent’ and my kids just open it up again.
App is not working for the parent dashboard
The app keeps crashing and saying something went wrong and can’t connect to the parent dashboard. Not able to control setting from my phone. I have to make all changes directly on the tablet because the app is not working. Very disappointed especially how much they charge for the service.
Janky app experience
This app is pretty bad on an iPad. It works better on my Samsung phone but even there I come across with problems. The most annoying is when I want to open books and it keeps saying they are not available anymore. Why are they on display then?? So disappointing. I just came across with 3 in a row. Try and explain this to a 4 yo when she chose a book only to be told it’s not available. Games crash frequently, videos look awkward on the screen. I won’t be subscribing that’s for sure. Ripoff…

Frustrating!
I’m gone round in circles trying to review an app so my child can play with it. After finally getting into the parent account I found out the app “does not support reviewing pending store requests”. Ridiculous! Ive followed to link to be sent round in circles. I then turned off request store purchases and it still hasn’t changed anything. Frustrated mother and child.

Garbage
This once was a really great option for kids on one of the Amazon tablets but this new redesign is absolute garbage and packed full of glitches and errors. Not impressed. The whole family is frustrated.
Will not honour my settings
Despite changing my children’s settings on three tablets, it is not honouring my settings. I have requested no access to shop, no ability to download apps and no timers (all their content is maths and spelling apps). It still allows my kids to do all of those things despite me changing and resetting the tablets multiple times. It’s so frustrating.

Some features unreliable
The time limits keep turning off without any notification. No one has the code but myself. It’s frustrating to rely on features that don’t perform. Also I tried to email through the app and that also resulted in an error message.
Problem
I can rarely get it to work, trying to log in to the parent side and it will not let me.
Parental Control is poor,
I can block content, but there is soo much content it is basically impossible to block the endless amounts of drivel that I don’t want them watching or playing and find anything half decent to access. I can’t allow specific website, they can’t update apps because the website to access the updates is always blocked. It seems every user has a separate download of each app. I can’t hide anything I don’t like directly from the app. Some things are classified as Apps so I can add educational apps I like and set timers against specific app usage. Overall, everytime I try to do anything to control content, I spend hours and hours and control nothing or block everything. There more I do with Kids+ the more I hate it.

Awful experience
This app it’s one of the most horrible experiences I had with an app. I’ll never get another amazon tablet for my kids again.
Hard to navigate. Functions don’t function
As above And searching for content is impossible. I can find an app I want in my phone but I cannot add it remotely using my account. There is an “add content “ menu, but it doesn’t work, there is no content in the menu and you can’t search from there. If I try to search the exact same name, four words all spelt correctly then I cannot find the same app. My phone is full of apps and books I wanted fir the kids but I can’t get them in the tablet, Music does not work unless Alexa is enabled, but I don’t want Alexa I cannot re-designate websites as “education “ so the kids homework website cannot be accessed if I have the “education goal” in place. I cannot preview books or apps, so “coding” or “times tables” apps turn out to be a platform game. Most of the books are too simple for my kids and I cannot access more appropriate bins for their reading ability. It cannot tell the difference between apps for education and watching videos, so you think you have 30 mins of education apps first as a setting, but apps fir games or watching CBBC or ITVX is included in the educational target instead of the watching videos filter. Great idea but urgently needs development

Best app ever ! 👏
This app is the best app for kids on this app. You can read kids books you can watch videos and movies and it’s all for kids. Then there’s educational stuff all kids can get education there’s games you can even play with your parents. It’s really cool. there’s a giant option of books which is really nice. I love this app favorite app right now. You should get it. I promise you you’ll get a good deal for five dollars a month that’s cheap. I love this app you should really get it and conclusion as I said you shouldn’t really get this app. It’s the best you ever get.

So frustrating
Cannot open the parent dashboard in the app on my phone. It’s so so slow to sync and sometimes doesn’t sync when updating the time limits etc. there should be a function to add specific amounts of time because the sliding scale function for the time is inaccurate and doesn’t sync reliably. It could be so so much better.

Not user friendly
I find everything on here difficult to use. Paid for apps, then they disappear. Try to download free apps and tells me parent must approve. Can’t find anywhere on the app for a parent to approve. Hate this!
Parental controls STILL broken on latest version
The most recent update for the app has broken the parental controls. I only get an error message trying to reach the parents dashboard. Which makes the app useless. Please fix it.
I’ve tried again a few months later. App is incredibly still broken and there are lots of reviews saying they can’t get on to the parental control page.
It’s the parent controls and kids+ content that are the main reason for owning a tablet for my children, so if this isn’t fixed soon I’ll have to get alternative devices when it’s time to update them.

App is glitchy, rarely works as expected
I have fought with this app for literal years as my kids have kindle tablets. The app frequently has errors and will not load the parent dashboard on my phone. When the app does work, the changes made in the app often do not get transferred to the kids’ tablets, or there is a long delay before the changes are made. If we are outside of wifi range and I adjust the settings on a tablet, when the tablet returns to wifi service, the original settings replace the new ones. Ironically, when I was asked for a review today, I was trying for the umpteenth time to load the parent dashboard and just received yet another error message. 😣🙃
