bug

i cant update profile picture or background photo i click the pencil and nothing happens

Useless

They have my music. Apparently, an Instagram or (god forbid) “X” account are required for some foolish reason to authenticate my claim. I am the artist. I linked the distributor. Why, in the name of anonymity, do I need an “official” social media presence? I only want to track sales and streams. That’s it. Presumably, actual humans revue these submissions. But, guess what? They don’t provide any email contact. Useless.

App not working

I can’t edit anything

Can’t login

I can’t log into my account even though I use the right email and password. After the puzzle it says “There was a problem. Your password is incorrect.” IT IS NOT INCORRECT. I can sign into Amazon online perfectly. Then if I reset my password in the app, it says “There was a problem. Internal error. Please try again later.” It’s been going on for a few weeks already. Please fix it. I just want to login on the app. On the Amazon for Artists website everything works just fine, but it’s the app that’s not working for me.

App is rendered useless by inept claim model

It’s easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than it is for an indie artist to claim their profile on Amazon Music. Dealing with support may give you an ulcer. It’ll definitely make you dizzy from being sent in circles.
The claim process is very limited.
1. They want you to provide a social media account that actually shows the email you’re using to claim but only give two options, Instagram and X. I don’t use ANY social media platform that displays my personal email to the public.
2. Provide your management company (I assume they mean distributor), but they only give Distrokid, Tunecore, and CDBaby as options.
3. There is a text field with a limited character count in which to provide more information but space is, again, extremely limited. Paste a URL or two and you run out of space.
Once you hit Submit, you’re given a warning that since you didn’t choose the limited options they provided, your chances of being denied have greatly increased.
Then, the wait. I was lucky. I only had to wait less than a week to get the email that I didn’t provide enough information of course. I’ve read plenty of artists complain that they waited months, even over a year.
You’re not given an avenue to submit “more” information. You’re just sent back to the beginning with the same options to resubmit the same information.
Contacting support thru the app takes days, and for some, weeks, months or no response at all. They only respond when you’re asleep with the same boilerplate response to choose the limited options.
And there you continue your ride on the hellish “customer service” carousel.
Even if you provide links to your successfully-claimed artist profiles on every other streaming platforms, including SoundCloud (which is suggested by those who have been successful), there is no guarantee that it’ll work.
Until you’ve claimed your profile, the app is a waste of space on your phone. Use the desktop web version.
Good luck.

Worst app ever

Don’t download it’s not worth it horrible sigma app I just want to create music not claim. Please help this is so skibidi toulet

Useless

Profile image doesn’t update when changed in the app. Voice stats don’t give details of songs requested. Streaming stats aren’t accurate, and don’t correlate with Voice stats or Fans. AND there doesn’t seem to be any real support to solve any of the above issues.

Missing songs

A lot of my released music is missing from my artist page. The section to report missing songs will not work. The “submit” button is greyed out. I reached out to customer service years ago and never heard back. Terrible.

The best

As somebody is an independent artist, I have to manage a lot of things, one of which is trying to understand the results of similar music shown (programs) for the listenership to grow and gain more exposure. Amazon has all of this, but the best feature I would say better than anybody else is the live time feedback. I also think they do a great job with x-ray and other assets that are great to show for song credits. I will say that you guys are struggling with lyric generation . I know for all of our tracks through musixmatch I've submitted lyrics which is what I use. If there's another service for Amazon Music I would love to do it so I can get my lyrics on here. I have them all ready to be synced ...

Never seems to accept artist claim

When I started releasing music, a friend of mine who has several music projects was showing me how the different apps work, he’s showing me what Spotify app does and how Apple display radio play and Shazam’s etc. I asked him about Amazon and he said the Amazon Artist is pointless as you can’t claim your account. I decided to give it a go anyway and it’s been about 3 months and they haven’t approved my claim. Don’t get me wrong, they haven’t rejected it, they just haven’t accepted it. It’s just like my application has gone to a big black void where there is no one at the other end. I go back in and try again to claim my artist and it tells me previous application I’d still pending, awaiting approval. How this app is rated 4 1/2 stars is beyond me. I’m sure my approval time experience must be really common, as I was told this in advance. Come on Amazon, you’re such a big company. If Apple ash’s Spotify can approve so quickly, you should be able to aswell! My feeling is, my artist claim will forever be ignored

HORRIBLE SERVICE

Leaves no room for other verification. Has 4 distro to pick from. And what you do verify isn't good enough. What's the point on having anything to verify if none of its ever good enough? Verified with artist website and INSTAGRAM with a long essay but yet hears nothing back.

Not worth your time

Nearly impossible to get your account verified, horrible artist support, and screw ups that hurt musicians financially and musically. Just stick with the usual that actually work, like Spotify for Artist and Apple for artist.

Literally the worst app for musician

I have had a problem claiming my artist for over a year already and they still don’t let me do it. I don’t understand how when I call for help the customer service people don’t even understand my question and sound like it’s a third world country service center I’m furious cuz they got me looking like an unprofessional artist with their wack representation of me and my brand

Can’t get passed the artist conformation/ customer service

I’ve been waiting months for an email but I can’t get a hold of anyone. They seem oblivious to what the app is when I call customer service. I don’t think this app is gonna work out, I can report about music and remove it but cant get a confirm.

It was so hard to get my account which was took over by someone else..

And customer service had no idea this app even exist..

👎🏼

I don’t understand how they deny me my own artist page and then they don’t offer any support for figuring out how to fix the issue

Surely Amazon Music is Illegal

For an artist, Amazon is by far the worst streaming platform. Their support is terrible. And somehow, the clown that is running Amazon Music forgot to include a way for artists to contact Amazon Music. Think about that - the product is our music. And these clowns can’t even have the decency to provide a contact email.
But hey, at least they’re busy putting each other on the back on LinkedIn

IMPORTANT

The artist support on this app routes to regular Amazon support. I’ve tried to contact Amazon and they can do nothing. I need to be helped with an important issue that only Amazon music for artists can do. This needs to be looked at. Please reach out to me 🙏
