Application is very bad
Since they change its name the app got really bad. It opens once every 10 trials. Can I just book movies in peace?? Please go back to the old version

From AMC to i dont see !
I have been a loyal customer for years, going back to the AMC Cinemas days, which makes the direction Scene Cinemas has taken especially disappointing.
One of my biggest frustrations is the Daera loyalty program. I accumulated points and rewards over years as a loyal customer, and after the transition from AMC to Scene Cinemas, the value I had built up through that loyalty was disrupted. Customers who supported the brand for years should never feel that their accumulated loyalty simply disappeared during a rebrand.
I also do not understand abandoning the AMC identity that customers had grown familiar with and replacing the recognizable red branding with green. A lot of customer recognition and emotional attachment had been built around AMC over many years.
Movie scheduling is another major problem. Some films seem to receive extremely short theatrical runs, sometimes around two weeks, while other films remain available for one or two months. This makes it unnecessarily difficult to plan a visit. More consistent scheduling and better advance visibility would help enormously.
Private cinema rental is also far more complicated and confusing than it should be. Something marketed as a premium experience should have a simple booking process, clear pricing, availability, movie choices, and confirmation directly inside the app.
The notification situation is particularly annoying. The app sends advertising and promotional notifications, yet I cannot find a clear option inside the app to disable marketing notifications while keeping important notifications such as bookings, tickets, account information, and service alerts. Advertising should be opt-in or, at minimum, have a separate switch.
I also could not find a meaningful dedicated discount for people with disabilities or elderly customers. For a major cinema operator in Saudi Arabia, I would expect accessibility and inclusion to extend beyond physical access to pricing and customer benefits as well.
There are positives. Scene remains one of the more affordable cinema options in Saudi Arabia, and the staff are genuinely one of the best parts of the experience. After years of visiting, many of them make the cinema feel familiar and welcoming, almost like family.
The app itself has also improved over the last few updates. It feels faster, smoother, and noticeably less laggy than before.
But better app performance does not compensate for losing customer loyalty value, confusing private cinema rentals, inconsistent movie schedules, unwanted advertising notifications, limited customer controls, and the lack of meaningful benefits for elderly customers and people with disabilities.
Scene inherited customers who spent years building a relationship with AMC. It should be building on that loyalty, not making longtime customers feel that everything started again from zero.

Bad booking experience
I booked the tickets through the website. It is not user friendly, not asking of the city before choosing the film . I discovered that the branch is in jeddah while I am living in khobar. Customer service told me I cannot refund and even I the money cannot be returned to my wallet and book the right branch .
