Paid in app, reported to police as a drive off
App payment initially timed out, so I clicked it again and made sure it went through before I drove off. App shows payment at 9:33 I have received a text message from the police saying I have been reported for not paying and that I drove off at 9:29.
I really like this app because it makes it easy to refuel without having to get my toddler out of the car. But after this experience I will be looking at other providers. I now have to drive to Ampol and my local police station to get this resolved.

Unlike other seevice stations apps, theAmpol app doesn’t provide any benefits, or discounts, therefore it’s better to use the competitors for better value
App issues
This app was working fine, made it easy to fill up and drive away without standing in the queue to pay. It has now stopped working and won’t load
EV Charging Info Missing
When charging my EV, there is almost no info that is displayed about the charging session (all 0), so don’t know state of charge or price (happened at a bunch of Sydney EV chargers), please fix this.
App does work for starting and stopping charging but not good for info about charging sessions.

Fuel Pay
Well, in the whole state of Tasmania you have 7 fuelpay outlets…all located in Hobart. Seriously Ampol could consider adding more locations around the state. Pointless unless I’m travelling to Hobart from the other end of the state. 🤷♂️🤦♂️
