Amazing

Amazing

Never got operational

I purchased the device it needed an update. It continued to fail over the air. I then used a laptop as instructed by customer service, who was pleasant. After several hours of additional failed updates they agreed to return it.

Game changer

I’ve never felt more confident flying a drone. Loving it! The app is solid. Very similar to insta360. My fav editing method is using the ‘record’ method, using your phone’s movements. I just wish the horizon wasn’t locked so you could record tilting ‘fpv’ movements.

Promising, but buggy

At start up, the app ask you to accept or reject the usual conditions but only the reject button is available.
Somehow, I got around that sufficiently to start the app. It asked for an email address but that request wasn't clearly visible on the page. What WAS visible was detailed 3-D videos which changed rapidly. The page was so disturbing, visually, that I didn't proceed.
What I mean is that it's very difficult to look at that screen. Imagine you are on a fairground ride which tosses you in all directions. The visual experience is enough to make people sick. I hope these suggestions help the developer to keep going with a very interesting project.

Missing features of the other products from insta360

I wish it was better integrated with the Insta360 family of products like the cloud offering. I would like to use the footage interchangeably between my drone and my x5 more easily. I also get some stability issues on export and they don’t seem to be pushing updates as quickly as I had hoped. I love the A1 drone but the software needs some love.
