Amazing

Amazing

Never got operational

I purchased the device it needed an update. It continued to fail over the air. I then used a laptop as instructed by customer service, who was pleasant. After several hours of additional failed updates they agreed to return it.

Game changer

I’ve never felt more confident flying a drone. Loving it! The app is solid. Very similar to insta360. My fav editing method is using the ‘record’ method, using your phone’s movements. I just wish the horizon wasn’t locked so you could record tilting ‘fpv’ movements.

Promising, but buggy

At start up, the app ask you to accept or reject the usual conditions but only the reject button is available.
Somehow, I got around that sufficiently to start the app. It asked for an email address but that request wasn't clearly visible on the page. What WAS visible was detailed 3-D videos which changed rapidly. The page was so disturbing, visually, that I didn't proceed.
What I mean is that it's very difficult to look at that screen. Imagine you are on a fairground ride which tosses you in all directions. The visual experience is enough to make people sick. I hope these suggestions help the developer to keep going with a very interesting project.

Missing features of the other products from insta360

I wish it was better integrated with the Insta360 family of products like the cloud offering. I would like to use the footage interchangeably between my drone and my x5 more easily. I also get some stability issues on export and they don’t seem to be pushing updates as quickly as I had hoped. I love the A1 drone but the software needs some love.

Love my A1 but software needs work

I primarily use the mobile app on my iPhone and iPad for editing my drone footage, which is typically short videos under two minutes often under one minute. The software and features is actually really good. I enjoy using it. But it’s just not very stable. It crashes on me all the time, especially during export, which is very frustrating. The only saving grade is that it does a good job saving drafts. So I can go back in and back down some of my expert settings, especially bitrate and finally get it to export correctly. I wish it was more iPad friendly because that’s my preferred platform for editing. Don’t let this stop you from buying the drone. It’s fantastic and I’m sure they’ll get the software in a better place but right now it’s a little bit frustrating.

Good

This app is quite handy, the AI editing feature is really useful — it's great.

Easy to use for 360 beginners

The drone is super cool! And this app definitely gives me a lot of helpful tutorials as well as great potentials for creative editing. Love the templates, making the edits easier and shareable! Hope more templates can be uploaded

Well! A great app and product!

The product's own performance features are already very strong, and the supporting applications make it even better. The interface is simple, with plenty of tutorials for product use, as if afraid that users wouldn't be able to learn! The positioning is also very accurate, and it even supports AI editing for one-click video creation, making recording and sharing much easier!

amazing UAV

Truly a next-generation product. The immersive experience is groundbreaking—it’s the first time since the Apple Vision Pro that I've been this blown away by tech. This is the future of drones, and I highly recommend everyone give it a shot."

App crashes frequently

hard to get even a short edit completed due to the app crashing & closing

Love the A1 Drone but the software needs work

The Antigravity A1 drone is my favorite thing I’ve bought in the last year. I had a Mavic Pro that just collected dust but the A1 I can’t wait to go fly it again. It’s so fun. But the software experience, especially mobile he needs a lot of work. I’ve faced instability issues, work flows that are not very well thought out.

I prefer editing the footage mobile on my iPad however it’s clearly not designed for that platform. I can’t wait to see what they do with the software and revisit this review with an update. It seems like it can get there.

Excellent, easy-to-use drone and app

I’ve had the Antigravity A1 drone for about a week and flown it several times. It’s my first drone.

The app uses the same libraries/logic and UI as the Insta360 camera app, so if you already know how to use the Insta360 app, you’ll feel right at home editing drone footage in this Antigravity app.

I find Insta360’s UI for editing 360° footage complex and a little confusing at times, with deeply nested options, and the AI identification of interesting scenes often picks the most boring parts of your footage; but at least the app hasn’t crashed once on me yet while in the middle of an editing job.

The drone flies well and is easy to update and manage in the app. Downloading footage goes much faster if you remove your micro SD card and use the Quick Connect USB C adapter instead of the slow WiFi connection option. One current limitation is that the drone firmware only shows stats in metric and not imperial, with no option to choose, so US flyers will need to mentally convert the measurements in their heads as they fly. This is most serious around the 400’ (120m) FAA-mandated height limitation. Antigravity needs to offer the option to choose imperial measurements for their US flyers.

Overall, the drone and this app are of solid design with a lot of thought and intention put into the effort, and it shows. There is a little room for improvement but I’m happy with my purchase and recommend it to others looking for a first drone or a 360° capable drone. The drone is fun, small, and reliable. It’s about as well-designed and thoughtfully presented as an Apple product. Kudos to the design team!
