Essentially a virus:
Realizing that most features were locked behind a paywall, I tried to delete the app, only to find that the delete button opens the app to a screen encouraging you to stay. That’s only meant to happen on strict mode, as I understand it. This app sucks.
Actually works
Got the premium version, when strict mode is on you can’t delete any apps, edit or pause the blocks you set. If you’re struggling with social media/screen addiction then I’d strongly recommend this. Free your mind and take care of
Will solve your social media addiction
I had a pretty big problem with wasting time on my apps. The best part is that you can setup a strict mode that doesn’t let you turn off the app block no matter what. Very helpful.
This app sucks when you do not want to pay
This app will only let you block app for 1 day a week every week and when you want to delete the app it doesn’t let you gives you a screen time password to delete it do not download or you will struggle to delete and or even use effectively

Does Not Block Message iOS
You can’t block the Message app. The reasons are because AppBlock works with Apples API but that is counterintuitive to the point of having the appblocker in the first place. Personally, messaging is the biggest time suck. I don’t need it on my iPad and that’s why an app blocker that actually blocked an app I need it to block is useful. Lame.

Glitchy lately
Worked great, have had it for a couple years. Last month or so just seems like nonstop problems, glitches all the time, unable to pause blocks without hard restarting the app and even then half the time it still won’t unblock. Had issues with it dropping my subscription. May need to look for an alternative.
Update: Was working much better, but new August update has the screen time totals messed up. Appears to be adding in system and excluded app time when it should be excluded from the total.

Improving my phone time
I’m able to slowly kick a lot of my phone habits. I’ve set limits and locked them down. I’m not sure why I’m surprised how little I care for my phone when I can’t access the addictive things.
Does not block everything
Why it doesn’t block the games? Especially Brawl Stars?

Big help for managing addictions
Lots of great options for selectively limiting your phone usage, in a way that Apple’s built-in systems do not achieve. My only complaint is that you can get so many apps that certain screens crash, but that appears to be an Apple problem not an AppBlock problem.
Note, a workaround is to copy-paste in an app name into the search bar.

Best for ADHD and phone addiction! AMAZING!
This app blocker is amazing! I was looking for a free app blocker because of my tiktok addiction and with school starting back up it’s almost impossible to go an hour without going on social media 😭 this app ACTUALLY blocks you from going on selected apps that you can choose. I keep my Pinterest open and that’s it! It has help reduce my time online and make me get out more! Love it! 10/10
