Overall it works great.

One thing that drives me nuts, the filter don’t save, so every time I open it I have to disable AIS and all weather stations. That’s the only thing I’d love to see changed.

Beaconing in iOS 26

Solid product and never had a problem in the past. Recently drug out my Mobilinkd and YAESU to get on the airwave again. Beaconing seems to be working in the app, radio transmits, app shows my coordinates.. but when I try to send a msg for weather or any other service that requires location it tells me to beacon.. I do beacon again and no luck. Everything else seems fine.

not as expected

very disappointed with this app…it is a paid-for app and i fully expected that for the fee i would receive a fully functioning app but instead i found out that i have to subscribe for a monthly or yearly fee to get the features you need to operate that wasn’t clear from the description in the app store

Bad service

Over two weeks ago, I paid to download the app. It's already been deducted from my credit card, and I never received the email to verify my email. Poor service. They should give me my money back.

Can’t use it

On the surface this app seems like it would be great. The drawback is if you actually wanna send a message or anything it’s a subscription. I’m OK with that generally. The problem I have is there’s no way to go online and subscribe you have to do it through the app. The app has no provision for adding a payment method. The one and singularly option. Is to use the exact same card you’re using for Apple Pay. That does not work for me as the card that is being used for Apple Pay is for that alone.. I don’t want to use that card to make in app purchases on other apps. No option to change payment method.

Hi! Apple Pay is used for paying for things in the real world (shops, cafes, etc). Apple Pay can not be used for In-app purchases. In-app purchases use the payment information associated with your Apple ID, which can be different from your Apple Pay card. Like it but……

I’ve had this app for about a year now. Paid for the extra features to message. Can send a message and I receive it in my radio, but it never says that it was sent. It will time out and say not sent when it sent a message every time it tried to send. And when I reply on the radio it sends from the radio and I don’t receive it on the app. What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like an issue with local APRS network coverage. Please contact the aprs.fi google group with more details (callsign-SSIDs, etc) for more specific support. The APRS messaging system is not always very reliable. For a message to be delivered to a recipient on the RF network, the recipient must be within range of a transmit-capable (TX) iGate gateway station, or a digipeater near such a gateway. The network currently does not have means to indicate whether such coverage is available. Unfortunately many APRS iGates are receive-only (RX) and do not transmit packets, due to licensing issues or hardware limitations. Receivers are cheap, transceivers are more expensive, and in many countries an automatic transmitting station requires a special license. In such cases messaging may only work to one direction - from RF to APRS-IS, but not back to RF. When you’re transmitting packets from RF to the APRS-IS via a receive-only iGate, the acknowledgement packet will not be transmitted back to RF. The app will not know that the message was received, and will keep retransmitting it until the maximum number of retransmissions is reached.

Double dipping

Amateur radio, where everyone everywhere tries to squeeze every cent out of you that they can.

This app not only has a purchase price, but that only buys you the privilege of paying them more money with an annual subscription. Yay!
