Best app
Best app
Best for messaging
Good aap
User friendly interface and easy to use app and 1000% batter than whatsaap
Horrible app. Audio peaks
Horrible app man. Audio peaks when you call someone it doesn't keep a record of what it's audio set to blows my ears off every time i call someone. You have to call twice to see the other person's video.
Great Alternative to WhatsApp
Video calling camera quality is the best, quite convenient for day to day use. More options available and flexible compared to WhatsApp.
Proud of Indian origin software
Best app alternative to WhatsApp so far which runs on its own cloud and software and have lot of room for improvements, keep it going by adding more bug fixes and new features.
Easy to use, fast
Been using it for a few months and all features work in a solid manner. Also call quality from US to India was good.
Suggestion: Branding & UX Enhancements for Global Growth
Dear Arattai Team,
I am a regular user and big fan of your privacy-focused platform. To help the app scale from a regional favorite to a global leader, I’d like to offer three quick suggestions:
Catchier Branding: While "Arattai" is meaningful, it can be difficult for non-Tamil speakers to pronounce. I suggest a snappier, more universal name with a friendlier ring—like Howdy, Halla, Ping, or ZoChat. A "stickier" name would make it much easier to recommend globally.
Social UI Enhancements: To match a refreshed brand, adding modern social features like interactive polls and smoother cross-app message forwarding would greatly improve the daily user experience.
Global Vision: By combining your high security standards with a more approachable, easy-to-say identity, you can lower the barrier for millions of new users to join the ecosystem.
Thank you for building such a great product. I look forward to seeing it grow!
Best regards,
Your Well wisher !!

Exceptional!!
So much better than WhatsApp. I liked the ability to create usernames and hide phone number. Great stuff by ZOHO.
Great app to use
Amazing app with great voice and vedio
Images and Videos Performance and Delivery Status
The image and video uploads are noticeably slower compared to other chat apps. Besides, please consider improving the message delivery indicators — a single tick mark doesn’t clearly confirm successful delivery. It would be better to have a universal delivery status system rather than app-specific versions. Currently, we often use other apps like WhatsApp for faster media sharing. Hope these issues get resolved soon.

Response from developer
Hi! Thanks for sharing this feedback. We’re actively working on improving media upload speeds and a delivery report feature to help indicate when a message has been delivered. Your inputs really help us prioritize what to improve next, and we appreciate your patience as we continue to enhance the experience. 💛
It is better than WhatsApp
Easy to use
Great alternative to whatsapp but
Get the time delivered messaged to 1 second instantly instead of 5 sec

Daily Games Needed
I was genuinely impressed earlier this year by the traction and conversation volume on Arattai. It was encouraging to see an Indian platform gaining momentum in a space dominated by global players.
That said, despite the positive sentiment, I personally find myself opening the app less frequently—not due to product gaps, but because of ecosystem inertia and habitual usage of existing platforms.
Suggestion to drive daily engagement and ecosystem stickiness:
- Introduce a “daily dose” model
- Curated notifications: bite-sized news, trending discussions, regional insights
- Predictable cadence builds habit (similar to how users check news or social feeds)
- Add mindful games & lightweight activities
- Concept-driven games like LinkedIn-style word, logic, or association games
- Short, non-addictive, intellectually engaging formats aligned with Indian audiences
- Focus on daily open → short value → exit loop
- Even 2–3 minutes of meaningful engagement daily compounds over time
- This gradually builds a parallel ecosystem without forcing migration
I strongly believe that combining conversations with habit-forming micro-interactions can significantly improve DAU/retention and reduce dependency on users “remembering” to open the app.
Wishing the Arattai team continued momentum and scale. Happy to see Indian platforms think long-term and ecosystem-first.

EXCELLENT
Working perfectly.AI can help for writing message.
The name of the app could have been better and mass appealing
The app itself is amazing but I find the name quite difficult to pronounce, could have been better to accepted by mass.
Indexing and taking time to send
App has indexing problems same contact saws 2 time and to send picture it takes longer and videos sometimes never received by contact just for your knowledge
Nice app
Nice app with all standard features. But a few performance issues and stability needed to be fixed asap.
Great app… Great name
Simply the app has better features compared to WhatsApp and quite convenient to use with better privacy protection.
