Suggestion: Branding & UX Enhancements for Global Growth
I am a regular user and big fan of your privacy-focused platform. To help the app scale from a regional favorite to a global leader, I’d like to offer three quick suggestions:
Catchier Branding: While "Arattai" is meaningful, it can be difficult for non-Tamil speakers to pronounce. I suggest a snappier, more universal name with a friendlier ring—like Howdy, Halla, Ping, or ZoChat. A "stickier" name would make it much easier to recommend globally.
Social UI Enhancements: To match a refreshed brand, adding modern social features like interactive polls and smoother cross-app message forwarding would greatly improve the daily user experience.
Global Vision: By combining your high security standards with a more approachable, easy-to-say identity, you can lower the barrier for millions of new users to join the ecosystem.
Thank you for building such a great product. I look forward to seeing it grow!
Best regards,

Response from developer
Hi! Thanks for sharing this feedback. We’re actively working on improving media upload speeds and a delivery report feature to help indicate when a message has been delivered. Your inputs really help us prioritize what to improve next, and we appreciate your patience as we continue to enhance the experience. 💛

Daily Games Needed
That said, despite the positive sentiment, I personally find myself opening the app less frequently—not due to product gaps, but because of ecosystem inertia and habitual usage of existing platforms.
Suggestion to drive daily engagement and ecosystem stickiness:
- Introduce a “daily dose” model
- Curated notifications: bite-sized news, trending discussions, regional insights
- Predictable cadence builds habit (similar to how users check news or social feeds)
- Add mindful games & lightweight activities
- Concept-driven games like LinkedIn-style word, logic, or association games
- Short, non-addictive, intellectually engaging formats aligned with Indian audiences
- Focus on daily open → short value → exit loop
- Even 2–3 minutes of meaningful engagement daily compounds over time
- This gradually builds a parallel ecosystem without forcing migration
I strongly believe that combining conversations with habit-forming micro-interactions can significantly improve DAU/retention and reduce dependency on users “remembering” to open the app.
Wishing the Arattai team continued momentum and scale. Happy to see Indian platforms think long-term and ecosystem-first.
