ArchFic: AO3 Unofficial Reader

NEW • Read a chapter's comments without leaving the reader. Tap the comment button in the bottom bar; replying and kudos open AO3 itself, where your AO3 sign-in applies. • Save favourite tags — relationships, characters, fandoms, freeforms, any tag AO3 has. Tap the star on a tag, a search result or a fandom in Browse. Home's recommendations now follow the tags you saved instead of guessing at your most-read fandom. • Authors' notes now show up: a story's own notes on its page, and a chapter's notes and end notes in the reader. Saved with downloads, so they are there offline. • Translate a story's title, summary, notes and freeform tags on its page, with one tap. Tap again for the original. • The reader now opens in a page colour that matches your theme, with a new Auto option to hand the choice back. • Both chapter lists mark the chapters you already have downloaded, so you can see what will open offline before you tap it. • Settings > Version now opens a page with every version's changes and the bigger features still to come. FIXED • A downloaded story opens with no connection — including one only part-downloaded, which opens to the chapters that are on your phone. • A download interrupted part-way is no longer recorded as finished. It shows its progress with a resume button, and stories already recorded wrongly repair themselves. • Update alerts no longer arrive for a story that does not exist, and an update you cannot open no longer lands on a "Page not found" screen. • Read-aloud no longer goes quiet for the rest of a chapter when the phone's speech engine fails on one paragraph, and no longer says a stray word like "nbsp". • Error messages now explain themselves in your own language instead of showing an internal name. • Story summaries keep the author's paragraph breaks, on the story page and on every card. • Tag search shows the most-used tags first, and tapping a tag opens its stories instead of an empty screen. • Fixed the keyboard closing after every letter once a search grew longer than the search box. • Your email now shows after signing in with Google or Apple, a failed sign-in explains itself, and backup & sync no longer switches itself off after a poor-connection launch. • Opening a story loads it once instead of twice, so the reader appears sooner and uses about half the data. • Chapter notes, the chapter list highlight, the Share panel on small phones, and pop-up panels running under the home bar are all fixed too.
