What's New in Aromely

10.8.0

September 20, 2026

A new look for Aromely. We redesigned the app from the first screen to the last: calmer colors, clearer type and more room to breathe, so adjusting your scent takes a glance, not a search. • Light and Dark. Choose Light, Dark, or let Aromely follow your iPhone, in Settings › Appearance. • A clearer Home. Notifications, language and your account sit at the top, one tap away. • Schedules that read like a sentence: when it starts, when it ends, how long it scents and how long it rests. • Remote assistance you can follow. The Support screen now tells you plainly whether our team is waiting, connected or finished, and it keeps its place if you leave the app and come back. • SX01 diffusers: you can now clear the name, note or password and save them empty. Something not right? Tap Support in the app and our team will help.

Work great

Easy to use and works great

Horrible!

The UI and UX need significant improvements. The intense purple color is hard on the eyes.

1. Schedule validation:
The bug is that it compares start < end as if both were on the same day. 11:05PM to 1:00AM is valid overnight schedule. The fix is simple: if end < start, add 24 hours to end (end += 24*60 in minutes) and treat it as crossing overnight.

2. The time picker is broken:
Something happens with the index bug ( off-by-one) missing 10 and 11.
You should replace the code for native iOS picker (UIDatePicker / DateTimePicker in React Native), which already handles all of this.

3.Colors and readability:
Please use similar (#1a1626 or similar) or a light one.
Section titles have a text-shadow that duplicates the text blurrily underneath

4. Diffusion cycle UX:
“30s / 240s” means nothing to most people. I’d add presets (light/medium/strong) with advanced mode that exposes the seconds.

5. Errors and Copy:
The all-caps “ATTENTION” modal is aggressive. Better and inline message under the field.

Response from developer

Hi Danygb97, Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review. It is clear you looked at the app closely, and that kind of feedback is useful to us. 1. Overnight schedules. The validation is not an oversight or a comparison mistake. The diffuser's firmware only runs schedules that start and end within the same day; the hardware simply has no notion of a schedule that crosses midnight. Adding 24 hours to the end time was, as you can imagine, the first thing considered; the problem is that the diffuser cannot execute the result. The app rejects that range on purpose so the device is never sent something it will not honor. To cover 11:05 PM to 1:00 AM you set up two schedules: one from 11:05 PM to 11:59 PM and another from 12:00 AM to 1:00 AM, and the diffuser runs them back to back. Some of the app's decisions come from device limitations that are not visible from the screen, and that is worth keeping in mind before calling them bugs. 2. Time picker. This one was a real bug, and we genuinely thank you for it. We fixed it the same day and the fix is live in version 10.7.0. If you update and still see anything odd, please let us know. 3. Colors. We understand the intense purple is not to your taste. That is a preference, and a significant share of our users do identify with that palette, so it is not something we change on one opinion. That said, the entire interface is being fully redesigned right now, including colors, contrast and the section titles. 4. Diffusion cycle. Light/medium/strong presets have been considered. The problem is that the right intensity depends on the diffuser, the size of the space, the oil and each person's taste; a fixed preset ends up wrong for almost everyone, and the "advanced mode" becomes what people actually use. Even so, we are working on a proposal to make the seconds easier to understand without imposing values. 5. Messages. The "ATTENTION" dialog is designed to draw attention, which is exactly its job. The tone and presentation of messages are being reviewed as part of the interface redesign. One last request. Of the five points, one was a bug and it is already fixed; the other four are preferences or device limitations. A one-star rating hurts an app built by a small team a great deal, and it reaches us nowhere near as fast as a message through in-app support or an email to sales@aromely.com, where we can answer you directly and with context. If, after updating, you feel the app deserves it, we would appreciate you reconsidering the rating. Thanks again, The Aromely team

Cool Device, app needs MAJOR work

The app is developed, visual and performance by outdated and clunky code. It’s very confusion to navigate, slow, actually very slow. Has major connectivity issues with the unit and the set up for device activation makes no sense. The have a schedule which is great if you have a regular unit. We have the unit attached to our HVAC system. There really isn’t a schedule that works unless you run your AC 24/7 or fan 24/7 and then set the unit timer. I asked about having a simple on / off setting with a timer. This will give the option of running the unit for 2 hours and I can run my a/c fan for 2 hours as well. Needs major work.
