Sync issues

Doesn't sync with either of the two Assault Fitness Runner Pros in my gym. Useless.

Terrible

Jesus Christ this app is terrible.

Why don’t you offer things like syncing to apps like Strava/ TrainingPeaks ?

It was actually painful to use, seriously.

Workouts

The app provides several good workouts that are challenging. That is the only reason for the star. The app does not sync data from the console. Over 50% of the time, my workout (on a runner platform) records as a bike workout. Another 25%, it doesn’t capture any data. The app developers have also not been helpful. It is either, we will respond in 48-72 hrs then they don’t respond or an email saying they are working on the app then recommend you use a different app.

Trash app

I have the assault runner and the app won’t even identify the machine. Nor will the app help desk service respond to an email or phone call.

Don’t Bother!!!

This app is trash. It won’t find the Bluetooth on the console to track stats. Assault Fitness customer service is equally trash…hopefully this thing won’t break down and I actually need them for warranty services.

False advertising

Does not connect to app. Nothing gets logged. What’s the point?

App never syncs

It’s been a year since you updated your app. It’s horrible

Breaks often

Every 2 weeks the app does not update and “breaks”. Not ideal for a dependable WOD.

2024 =app 1999

Love assault bike app is bad.. all other one star reviews match me.

Garbage

Don’t waste your time. The assault fitness app is garbage. Wont even “see” my phone to connect to it. The head unit that comes with the assault runner elite is also garbage. For $3600 it should come with something better than a glorified stopwatch that your kindergarten PE teacher carried. I mean unprogrammed LCD touchscreen displays used for tablets are like $80 on the street.

Terrible App

This app is not worth it. The explanation of the WOD is poorly written. Contrarily to some other fitness apps, pairing a heart rate monitor to this app is almost impossible and the app does not synchronize with my Assault Bike. I was told that another app is in the pipeline; let’s hope it will be much better than this one.

Poor App

The app drops Bluetooth connection and does not provide a reliable readout of workout data, much less log workouts. Unable to sync with Strava or other popular fitness apps. Disappointing that there is not a better app to compliment a great piece of equipment.

Bluetooth doesn’t work

Really annoying that the Bluetooth feature doesn’t work. Contacted support with no resolution. Disappointing

Utter garbage

Zero useful integrations to anything. Waste of time!

Make it make sense if you’re gonna launch an app ffs

Pay $3k, no smartwatch support

Majority of buyers have a garmin, etc. not also focusing external app integration is a huge miss and sets C2 lightyears apart.

Useless

Useless app. I tried to use this with an Assault Runner Pro and the app connected but did not record the data from the machine - it just showed a screen where you type in the data manually.

The developers should take a look at how easy and effective Concept 2’s Erg Data app works to set up custom workouts and record all the data in a log book. If only Concept 2 made curved treadmills so I wouldn’t have to use the Assault Fitness equipment in my gym!

Needs Work but the workouts are great

Unfortunately it seems like the workouts I did disappeared and now are only showing as freestyle workouts instead of being listed on a leaderboard. It’s like someone is deleting the wod for particular days? It doesn’t connect to your machine - which is fine but I just wish the wods that they plan didn’t glitch out and be removed from the app. They are great workouts but unfortunately I think there may be some sort of bug that is removing wods for particular days so you can’t get into a routine.

Unfortunately, not very good

I actually purchased the upgraded console for my Assault Bike Classic separately, as I wanted to try to capture my data in Apple Fitness or Garmin Connect or something.

As folks have noted, it does not have any data integration that I can see. Data needs to be manually entered post workout. Which leads me to my next issue.

The app randomly “resets” during my workout. I hit the BT button on the console, verify the console is seen in the app under settings > Bluetooth, and start my workout. I then set my phone down and start my workout. When I finish and go to select end workout in the app, at LEAST 1/2 the time the app has reset back to the main page.

The first time I used the app, both the console and app connected to my Polar H10 HRM. Now if it connects/records 1 out of 10 times I am fortunate. It works fine on every Garmin, Sole, Concept and Wahoo device without fail. That may not be the apps fault, but it adds to the frustration. Coupled with the infrequent and vague updates released by Assault, I cannot rely on the app.

Sorry Assault - great equipment, awful app and integration platform. I suspect developing a basic app to provide rudimentary integration would not be THAT expensive or difficult. Heck - I would even pay a small subscription fee if that is what it would take.

Simply doesn’t work anymore

When similar priced competition has ecosystems of apps, can’t you at least provide a basic working app that syncs with the machines you make ? Is that too much to ask ? Regretting the purchase of the rower.

Would give 0 stars

App won’t connect via Bluetooth to my watch or my phone. Won’t automatically detect my workouts. Worthless. And really unfortunate.
