Crucial astronomy app, 1 of my go to 3

Genuinely an amazing app

This app is incredible. Is accurate and has so much information. I am unsure how I would properly function without this. From Aurora forecasts, seeing, clouds, transparency, astronomical calendars, and so much more the app is a MUST for any astronomer or those aspiring.

Thank you!!!

Just not accurate

Love the interface but the forecast for me is not accurate. Shows no clouds (dark blue) when there is 109% cloud cover. East of England.

Used To Be Great

The app used to be great.. then it just stopped working. Even after updating it fails to give a forecast. Just a notice saying “network error”. Too bad.. I used the app frequently for about two years. Now it’s useless

Precision tool that helps determine when to shoot

I LOVE this app. It’s been a godsend for astrophotography and helping identify good seeing for my location. That is very beneficial when determining if I want to shoot in Ha, for better detail, or if Oiii is the play tonight since the seeing is a bit worse. The accuracy astonishes me… why can’t all weather reports get this precise! Really one of the best values I’ve found.

Love it!

Everything I need in one place, works very well and usually almost spot on, prob more accurate than our local TV weatherman, ha ha!

Best app for astrophotogrpahy

This app is the most accurate I’ve used yet. Worth every penny.

Stopped Workong

I’ve had this app for some time now. And on my iPhone iOS 18.7.2 it stopped working a few weeks back. The main page keeps reloading, no matter where I’m at in the app. It’s essentially useless now. And I can’t find any way to contact the developer for support.. I will really miss this app, and will be hard pressed to find a replacement. But I don’t seem to have any other option as this point.

Temperatures wildly & consistantly inacurate

I’ve used Astrospheric for years and love nearly everything about it — it’s an incredible tool for planning astrophotography. However, the temperature data for Arizona is consistently 8–12°F too low, making dew and temperature planning unreliable. Other apps are accurate within 1°F. Please fix or improve the temperature source — this app would be perfect, and I’d subscribe instantly if it were accurate.

An amazing app for amateur astronomers

I’ve found no better way to get cloud forecasts than this app, or the much clunker to use website cleardarksky. This is so much more convenient, and the premium subscription, giving you more weather models to look at, is even better. Worth it if you have the money to spare.

The Best!

Astrospheric is the best Astro app there is period!! End of debate.

So thankful for this!

Its nice to have a great app to provide cloud overview - now all I need is clear skies!

Isn’t accurate unless you buy a subscription

Forecasts have a high degree of inaccuracy on the free plan. I’ve had nights where it said conditions were bad and it was going to be cloudy when they ended up being perfect, and vice versa. Cloud forecast has been wrong several times. The app tells you to buy a subscription to have access to accurate forecasts.

Wow, what an amazing app

This app has introduced me to so many useful tools. It’s my go-to app everyday to see what things will look like while I cross my fingers for ideal conditions for astrophotography. And the non-paid version isn’t intensely annoying with ads or anything, almost like the app makers care how it feels to use the app! What an idea!

Lockdown mode

iPhone with lockdown mode seems to not be supported. App fails to get past location permissions page.

Go To AstroPhoto App

There may be better apps, but I don’t know what they would be because I never have a reason not to open this app. I open it all the time I even live in a very cloudy area, but I wanna know when of those clouds gonna pass and if you can get that little Crosshairs directly over your house, which is easier to do you’re gonna have reliable readings. It takes the data that is available to everybody and makes it tailored specifically for people who need to see through the atmosphere.

Too hard to look at

I would pay for this except it is so horrible looking and hard to read. Not very visually accessible and it’s too dark with too much of cryptic icons and language. Make this more accessible. Why does it look and read so awful?
