User reviews

a joke?

just a couple of months ago, the app worked just great very user-friendly nice contrast between dark blue and white on the screen, now it's actually impossible to enter a destination and a starting point and simply get a read out of how to get there. Where has that gone? what a chaotic mess!

你蚂马思了吧

Warning: Transportation may become a tourist Trap for Families! (Contactless Payment System)

I want to inform in general about this transportation company, because our experience and those of other persons reveal their business practices. I would like to strongly warn families and groups about the contactless payment system (Tip Tap) on Autolinee Toscane buses and trams!
We wanted to buy tickets for two people. However, the system does not allow you to buy more than one ticket with a single credit card (Mastercard) – the rule is strictly 1 card = 1 ticket. When we tried to pay for the second ticket using a standard German debit card (EC / Maestro), the terminal repeatedly rejected it.
The main issue: Due to strong sunlight on the terminal's screen, it was completely impossible to read whether the payment went through or failed. There was no clear feedback. As a result, we were fined during a ticket inspection. To make matters worse, filing an appeal afterwards is not allowed once you pay the fine on the spot.
Important for all travelers:
1. No Debit/EC Cards: Standard German debit/EC cards are not accepted by the terminals.
2. Every person needs their own payment method: You cannot pay for partners or children with the same card. Each person must use a separate card or device (e.g., 1x physical card, 1x Apple Pay / Google Pay on a phone).
3. Unreadable Screens: Do not rely on the terminal screen in bright sunlight – you simply cannot see if the transaction was successful.
Completely customer-unfriendly and a trap for tourists who are acting in good faith and just trying to buy a ticket!
There seem to be well-organised inspectors out and about, scouring the railways and ‘picking people up’.

Scam
