The properties listed might have low starting bids but high reserves, also you cannot see the inside of the property before bidding to check the condition. And if the property is occupied you would be in charge of evicting the current tenant. No idea who is successfully bidding on properties and buying anything or making this work. Fishing company. Stay away
I learned a hard lesson. This company will list a property at low starting bid but won’t accept any reasonable bids. It kept putting the same property on Auction block and won’t accept the highest bid even it is at reasonable market price and exceeded what owed to the bank. It requires you to agree for them to sale your personal information with no way to opt out. It also requires deposit for bidding but won’t immediately release your money . Basically they use this tactic to fish your personal information including biometrics and tie up your money. Go see Reddit for all the negative complaints which I should have done beforehand.

So ive bid and purchased property on auction.com, but that was before i had realized they allow the seller to bid on their own properties (which is shill bidding? Used to be illegal 🤷🏻♂️) rather than setting a reserve…..i still wonder if the person bidding against me was real….. but anyways if you log in, go to the properties main page and click bid history itll now show you if its the seller. Ive been the only BIDDER on 1 property over 100 times… but the seller just tried to run it up every time (this particular property has been listing for over a year!).

Shill bidding occurs on this site, which is illegal just about everywhere else, the auction site continually pulls down and repost the same properties, despite a number of individuals bidding on them. One such property in my area was foreclosed on, and the individual owed less than their reserve price, several people in my community were bidding on it, and somehow despite magically getting the highest bid the bid was pulled down, and reposted. This app and this website is a total scam. Illegitimate junk!!! additionally the website attempts to get you to transfer money with zero liability to them in the event of any issues, even if you use their title company.

After many years in the industry and countless amount of bidding - auction.com in many state are scam and will not sell even at the reserve, very often they will re-list the same property and increase the reserve. never actually landed any good deal on here either at market value or over, don’t waste your time!

The opening bids are bait. The properties have a reserve that usually isn’t met, resulting in properties being relisted several times until they sell for at or over market value. No deals here folks. Move on.
Portrait only
Apparently devs never heard of landscape orientation since that is more convenient on an iPad. So you are forced to view the app in portrait, then when you select a property to view, it opens the browser in landscape so you end up keep rotating the iPad. Brilliant! Now I can cancel my gym membership!

Property info opens in safari
What is even the point of the app? Whenever I click on a property, it opens in safari. I downloaded the app to browse properties, but I can’t even view them fully in the application. As far as I can tell there’s no setting to change this.
Fix it!
Since the company made an update few days ago, pretty much the app became useless. I have to log in to the website to do everything I need to do. Fix it please!
