Doesn’t work right rubbish app
Not user friendly.
I find the app a bit difficult to use. Could be much more user friendly.
Lag time
We are experiencing a lag time, sometimes several seconds, between my speaking and the appearance of the words on Ann’s screen.
Helped when I needed it.
While this app isn’t always the most accurate, it sure helped, during the six months I was deaf
Worked great for first 5 minutes
Worked great the first time I used this app. App disconnected from the internet 2 minutes after a closed the first conversation and would never reconnect. Could not access any part of the app and no answer from the web site to help troubleshoot the issue. So promising and failed so fast. Disappointed.

Ava is awesome!
I am hearing impaired. This became noticeable about seven years ago and has progressively worsened since then. Ava has been such a blessing—at home with my wife, at work, and out in public. What a great tool. Thank you for providing this freely as I am in a limited budget.
Accuracy
Is not very accurate I can easily see and I need something accurate I am bilingual but I hate talking notes
Nice product, too complicated for many elderly
An overall good app, but one that unfortunately didn’t work for use with elderly relatives due to the number of features, menus and buttons.
As a suggestion, a simpler version, with basically just start transcription, stop transcription and “save conversation? Yes/no” buttons, and large text, would fill a huge need for many very elderly people losing their hearing.
Those with both hearing, vision and memory issues who aren’t tech savvy get easily lost in the QR code reader feature, or community feature, or contacts, etc. while trying to just find “start,” and just give up on the app.

Stop the surveys
My husband has recently Gone completely and permanently deaf at age 42. We are using this platform to speak in House. We can no longer function on this app because we are prompted after every use sometimes mid conversation to leave feedback. I choose one star every time because of the errors and the disturbance. Please make it stop. It’s a mockery of those hard of hearing to have to stop the conversation to leave one star every single time due to frustration.

La transcription se limite souvent à des mots isolés et ne reformule pas correctement les phrases complètes. De plus, la reconnaissance vocale fonctionne mal lorsque les personnes sont à plus d’un mètre.
Lorsqu’il y a plusieurs interlocuteurs qui parlent en même temps, il devient difficile de savoir qui dit quoi. Un système d’identification (par exemple : Anonyme 1, Anonyme 2, etc.) serait très utile, notamment dans les conversations de groupe ou les environnements bruyants.
Cela permettrait de mieux suivre les échanges et d’améliorer considérablement l’expérience utilisateur.

Good app at translating but…
It’s a good transition app but it saves the transcript as gibberish. Most of the time you can’t understand what was said

My grandmother has been deaf her whole life. She is the only deaf person in our family and often misses out on conversations at the dinner table. The other day at a family gathering I used an AI transcriber app for the first time and my grandmother was so excited. She could finally take part in the conversation without turning to her daughter or to me and asking “ what happened? What are they talking about?” I really love that you can connect multiple phones and color code and name different voices. It’s really incredible and I’m just so excited to use this app on Christmas with my grandma.
I’m holding back the five star because I think there are some things that could be improved to make the experience even better. For example, it would be great if there were more personalization features like being able to add your own words to the dictionary or being able to train the AI to recognize certain people’s voices.
I’m so excited about this app and look forward to future updates and developments! (:

Update Issues
Latest update has bugs that default the background to be all white
Recent Update Broke the App Layout - Needs Urgent Fix
The latest iOS update completely broke the layout of the app. The interface is distorted and difficult to use and this is seriously impacting our experience. I’m very disappointed in the lack of proper development and testing before release - accessibility apps like Ave are replied on daily and issues like this shouldn’t happen. This needs to be addressed urgently. Please take this seriously and push a fix as soon as possible.
