I love my Avidyne IFD440 GPS, and I got the IFD100 app, and it worked just fine until I tried to use it for charts. Nothing I can do can make those charts work. I carefully followed all instructions, and each time, the app gets flakier and flakier. Now my Nav and Obstacles won’t work on the IFD100 either. I’ve had enough. My ForeFlight works great with the IFD440. The IFD100 just isn’t trustworthy.
Avidyne should make the IFD100 software more robust and charge for it. I have no interest in buying another set of Jeppesen charts only to find I can’t use them. They’re not cheap.
