About
Ayuname follows your intermittent fast and explains, hour by hour, what each phase is said to involve. It is educational information: the app counts time, it does not measure anything about your body.
THE FASTING PHASES, EXPLAINED
• Fed state (0h): digestion under way
• Drawing on stores (4h): the body uses what it has stored
• Fat burning (12h): a greater use of stored fat is described
• Early ketosis (16h): ketone bodies appear
• Full ketosis (18h): ketones matter more as fuel
• Autophagy (24h): cellular recycling, studied mostly in animals
• Prolonged fast (36h)
• Three-day fast (72h): usually done with supervision
THE PLAN THAT FITS YOU
16:8, 18:6, 20:4, OMAD and long fasts. Change it whenever you want.

YOUR DATA IS YOURS

Ayuname is a wellness app: it is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it is not a substitute for medical advice. Talk to your doctor before fasting, especially if you are pregnant, taking medication or living with a medical condition.

• Your coach now writes to you: fasting streaks and records, days you eat more than usual, and a summary every Sunday. You'll see it at the top of the home screen. • The app greets you by name. • Apple Health and Health Connect now also get protein, carbs, fat and fibre, and update when you edit or delete a meal. • Add supplements and notes when logging a meal. • The animation when you reach a fasting phase now plays on its own.
