Offensive Ads
I don't want to see pics of women's private parts in a Temu ad at the bottom of my app. There’s no way to report this. I can't contact them. The “contact” message won't send. Disgusting and frustrating.
No longer free
After years of usage, they’re going to a paid subscription only model. I’ll find a new app before I pay.
Why?
I’m trying to save money by being better at budgeting and checkbook. But you want me to pay $100 for this. Does not make economic sense for me
Balances and bills
The balance doesn’t always update and the bills are not updating either.
Slowness is an issue
I really like this app! I have the subscription and I should probably use more of the features. But it takes forever to add a transaction once you hit add.

Was Great
I’ve used this for years as my quick bank balance check when using my debit card and it was Great! Lately the app no longer has a carry forward balance after each transaction, just 0.00. Also the pending at the top does not update when charges are cleared anymore. Just frustrating since it worked previously.

Incorrect Calculations
Frequently this app will not keep correct calculations. I can actually see the balance numbers changing when I’m not touching anything. I pay for this app but I will probably switch to something else bc this is very annoying. I enter everything and balance about once a week but now I cannot get it to balance bc it cannot do math. I have closed and reopened but that doesnt help.

Good…when it works
I’ve used Balance Pro for several years using a iPad Pro (iOS always current), but recently (May 2024) Balance Pro has shut down with any attempt to enter a transaction, or even access settings. The developer said he has initiated multiple “fixes”, but none have solved the dilemma I have experienced. I have subsequently initiated a simple Google Sheets “app” of my own that works just fine. I can’t do a search, but that function didn’t work most of the time in Balance Pro anyway.

Face ID
Biometrics worked good before. Now can’t find away to use Face ID
Great app until you update it
I used the free version of this app for a while then upgraded to the paid version. It’s great and I really enjoy it, super user friendly and customizable. The only problem I’ve run into, and the reason I’m doing 4 stars instead of 5, is that EVERY SINGLE TIME an update has been pushed and I run it, it completely messes up my accounts. I just ran an update today on it (May 10th) and now my savings account is showing the last transaction from April 24th. My checking shows correct dates of last transactions but the balance is wrong so now i have to spend time combing through both accounts to make corrections. It’s incredibly frustrating.

Don’t download unless you want to pay for a year!
Do not download this unless you are willing to pay for an entire year even without using it. I signed up to try this software out and it was not for me. I cancelled and they will not refund. I literally cancelled within 24 hours. I tried to request a refund twice stating this was not for me and I will not use it and it was denied both times. Horrible!!!!

Lost transactions
Lost all my balances & transactions after update
Older version was much better
After the last update September 2023, the app is not working correctly. Duplicating debts, running extremely slow, crashing. I have used this app for many years and this latest update has ruined everything good about it.
Old Version was better.
Do not like this New Version of Balance at all. After spending a long time, I did get some of my Accounts to pull in. Many of them would never import. The Account names are not in Alphabetical Order (which they were in the old version). I truly dislike this new version. I loved the way it was. Sadly things always have to change.
