This game needs a lot more improvement
Played it 10 hrs, game control really bad, if you press running or dodge button while moving, it often have no response. Running button and dodge button are too close together that makes the players often press the wrong one but you can’t customize them. Outdoor puzzle is great but dungeon design is poor, lots of rooms are dark, I can barely see . You have to avoid the spikes in darkness that makes the game look like the Binding of Isaac than Zelda. Game UI, map and describe text are too small in iPhone. You can’t pinch the map to zoom in and out. Enemies can easily kill players in one or two hit even outside the sereen, way too hard in a touch screen device. I wonder if the developer ever played this game and beat one of the boss on cellphone. Sorry for my bad English.

Don’t play
Started off fine until you have to actually get somewhere or fight something. Can barely run or roll to get away from the bosses and half the time you click the sword and it does even work. Tried from phone and even MacBook and it’s the same! So freaking annoying! Developers did okay with graphics and everything else but you have very little to see on the map, can’t zoom in far enough, controls are wonky, and enemies are faster than the avatar so all and all you fail almost every time unless you somehow get lucky and make it to the next round. You don’t get many lives and with crappy controls you can’t do anything but die over and over again until you’re lucky enough to have them work.

Yay - New Adventure / Boo - Can’t finish it - BUG!
I really enjoyed this game and can truly see the extensive amount of work out it into it, so thank you developers for that. I don’t like to complain… so I didn’t when I played through the entire Guardian Of Owls. When I saw an update with a new adventure, I thought: it was enjoyable BUT also maddening to play with the glitches but I’m sure they’ve got it handled by now. But still, no. I can’t complete the Three Fairies because as soon as I have all 3 of what’s needed and go to the enter the enchanted forest , the game shuts down. I’ve done everything on my end I can to be sure it wasn’t me or my phone. I even deleted my save and played the whole thing again all to get to the same. exact. issue.
I can’t finish it because a huge giant bug that makes the new adventure legitimately unplayable is there.
Releasing a game that has that huge of a bug… is a bit much for me. Don’t play Three Fairies until they fix it folks, or maybe, not at all.

Can’t get enough of this game
Out of all my Apple Arcade games, this one is the one I play the most. I play it on my Apple TV only. The game is a little crazy but it is set up great, unlike any other game.
I do own all the library books and still I get a little frustrated so I have to turn it off and think about what i’v done throughout the day, then played some more
When I complete this game, I hope I can find other games very similar.

I was loving the game but ran into bugs…
I absolutely fell in love with the game because it’s very legend of Zelda-esque. But unfortunately I ran into a few bugs that just blocks any chance of progression. Ramps have been rendered unusable. I try to go up a ramp or hill and Baldo just walks right through them as if they’re not even there. I died many times due to the prompt controls decide to be unresponsive, not allowing me to eat to heal, roll to dodge, or even pull out my sword. I want to love it again. Please fix these bugs…

Too many bugs
I have gone as far as I can in the The Underground. My game will not trigger The Ancient Lever quest. I am unable to push in lever into fish mouth- and in the other underground entrance in Rodia, the waterfall will not stop. I am completely stuck. I have watched tutorials and read walkthroughs. It is a glitch. The bombs quest is impossible; this makes me not able to proceed. I don’t know what to do. I really wish they would stop putting out games that they clearly didn’t play all the way through before releasing. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many bugs and glitches.

Fix this glitch!
I love this game and the concept. Honestly, I didn’t even super mind the difficulty before the latest patch, it was so frustrating but then deeply satisfying after you finally made a dungeon or whatever work. Would love to see a patch for a couple of glitches I’ve noticed though. Not sure where to share these notes other than here. When I have the Forest Shield equipped and try and dig in soil with the shovel the game crashes! I was hoping the latest patch would fix it, but I guess not. Also, there’s a spot in the Rodia Graveyard by the stairs where you can get stuck between the a tombstone, the stairs, and rocks. Not sure if that one was fixed. But there you go! Those are my thoughts so far! Oh and to anyone annoyed that there’s no tutorial, go check out the Rodia Library.

Great game with a few issues
This game is visually striking and exactly the type of game I’ve been waiting to hit Apple Arcade. I wish there more open world games like this on Arcade. Baldo does suffer from bugs but I’m glad to see the developers actively working to correct them. Currently, the two bugs that affect me the most are cloud saves. I started playing on my Apple TV and saves will not transfer to my iPad or iPhone. I’ve also noticed resolution quality seems to reset after every death.
Overall, love the game. Keep fixing those bugs and the game will only get better.

Good game, but can’t load my last save
Good game, reminds me of Zelda a little bit. Game play is very challenging at times with no real thought of leading you to the next task completions that will progress you through the game like Zelda does. Normally in games you complete an order of steps to get to the next level or move you along the game story line. This game really doesn’t do that. Got really far in the game and it decides that it wanted to kick me out of the game and never load again. I believe it was because I equipped the plant looking shield. The plant shield is suppose to help you look for places to dig which helps you find money or orbs. The game would shut down when I first equipped the shield, I would go to an area it would find for me to dig, and I would be able to get back in the game. This time though after equipping the shield to help me fight Flora and getting out of the dungeon the game shut down on me again and I wasn’t able to load my game ever since. I lost all that progress.

Crashes
This game had me so into it. Then all of a sudden it crashed and won’t open. There where lots of bugs, all which I was able to ignore or work around. Sometimes the character would get stuck in the ground or pinned between things he couldn’t move out of. Some of the challenges took a LOT Of time and others where extremely simple. All that I could overlook but now when I’m like 75% finished….it crashes. That’s super disappointing. I have a new iPad Pro, completely updated and has lots of room. I kept reading people saying they where having issues but I thought it had been fixed. It hasn’t.
UPDATE: soooooooo many more bugs appearing. I tried starting fresh but there are so many times I fall through the ground and can’t walk up stairs. Anytime I’m in a boss fight like the spider boss, I go to light the lantern but instead it pulls open the entire menu. It makes it impossible to light the torches. The battle is just so packed full of crappy programming it’s impossible.
I REALLY want to play this game. It’s amazing…when it works. Gossip says that it won’t be fixed because it’s on Apple Arcade and they have no desire to fix a game where they have fully been paid and expect no more income from. Makes me not want to play apple arcade at all. This isn’t the first game that was pushed before being finished. I wonder if they even tested it before pushing it. They have to know all of the complaints.

Good game, horrible controls
So much potential but the control is are just awful. Boss battles are tedious and can be frustrating, not because of difficulty but because the control is so bad. Great story and questing, fun to explore. Movements and battle mechanics are bad. Wish I could skip the necessary to move the story ahead battles after loosing dozens of times within minutes because Baldo won’t move properly. I’m playing with a controller, playing on mobile with thumbs on screen control was impossible.

Unfinished
While headed in the right direction, it felt as it I was playing a test version of the game. It has all the right pieces just feels incredibly unfinished. While playing on the AppleTV it was almost impossible to figure out the menu, in reference to what you are holding and how to use it. It was also difficult to read almost anything in the game and the use of highlighting different places and names was confusing rather than helpful. It’s also felt like a small child’s version of this type of game. I could also not change my angle of sight like in some other games like Oceanhorn 2. Overall not a bad start, keep at it.

A hidden gem
This game is an absolute joy to play and you can clearly feel the passion the developers put in each and every corner of the world they created. It has some quirks and definitely doesn't hold your hand (some of the puzzles are TOUGH), but it's never unfair and the solution comes to you if you think and experiment enough.
It has plenty of content, with a main quest that can last up to 50 hours and a lot of side content in the form of mini dungeons with puzzle challenges and side quests. But the real star of this game are the main dungeons, which are all huge and very clever, with puzzles that interact with each other and really make you think in order to progress. I definitely recommend this to any player that likes old school Zelda or puzzle/adventure games in general.
And again, I can't stress enough how good this game looks in motion, it's ridiculous. It has a style that's inspired by studio Ghibli and it shows, all the environments are really detailed (the house interiors are incredible, with little details that add a bit of environmental storytelling and help flesh out the NPCs) and the characters are quirky and unique.

Controls are horrible; glitchy game; intentionally impossible
This game had potential but why the developers would spend so much time and effort on a game just to make it into a miserable playing experience is baffling. From the mundane (world is way too unnecessarily large with tons of dead space that you plod through agonizingly slow), through the frustrating (controls are wonky at best, unusable at worst), and into the maddening (especially noticeable in the end boss fights where you can get destroyed while waiting for a non-skippable, and useless, cutscene and hit many times in succession including knockbacks where you have zero input control [meaning the controls aren’t even available to you]) - and throw in all the bugs and I don’t know how this game ever made it past QA.
Maybe it’s better on other platforms, but without major overhaul this game is an exercise in self torture. Sure you can progress but expect to die thousands of times in mesmerizingly stupid fashion. I stuck it out up until the final boss fight but wish I hadn’t.
I hope they fix all of the ridiculous issues but until then, you’re better off passing on this game.

Great game with a couple issues
I truly loved this game. It’s very similar to a Zelda-type game but has enough unique elements to distinguish it. I love the art and the story. It’s a good mix of action, adventure, and puzzles. I was fully able to play without a controller (although I think I enjoyed it more with one).
There were a few bugs when I first started playing, but even since then a lot of them have been fixed. For me, the bugs were frustrating at times but never enough to make me put down the game entirely. It was just a different type of challenge.
This game doesn’t hold your hand. You have to explore and figure things out on your own. A few tips:
1. If you’re not sure where to go next, use the quests and maps to guide you. Explore every area again. Every time I got stuck I realized that I just missed an area on the map.
2. Use the library for hints!!
The only real reason I give this 4/5 stars is the ending. No spoilers, but it felt very rushed and unsatisfying. I was pretty disappointed after otherwise really enjoying the gameplay.

Locked out of Progressing
In the Galleon shipwreck I was locked out from raising the chest with the sword. I had destroyed all the tentacles protecting it the crank, but the final “guardian” tentacle did not release. I am at a point where there is nothing left to do but quit. It’s a shame that a game with so much promise missed the mark in so many ways. Reading others feedback confirms that since the dev is getting that Apple Arcade commission they couldn’t care less about the actual gameplay. Nobody left to hold them accountable to a quality and well polished product. Apple sure as heck won’t do it.
Edit: the issue I previously posted was fixed but now I have a huge problem with app crashes when I perform certain actions in the game— most notably, digging. The game immediately force closes. Also, I’m currently locked out of the game because it crashed during a fast travel. Now, it crashes when I try to open a saved progress game. **sigh**
This game has so much promise… if only there were more attention to detail and debugging prior to releasing the the general public.

Great graphics. Fun interesting puzzles. Impossible boss!
I love adventure games and I love puzzle games, so this was an obvious must try. However, I see no reason why there should be a boss at the end of the very first level that is essentially impossible to beat. It can’t be done at all without a controller and even with a controller the timing/dexterity requirements for defeating it once are ludicrous. And apparently it has to be beaten three times to go on the next level. After trying for literally hours, I gave up and searched the internet to find the solution. I knew I didn’t have the dexterity to do it so I had to get someone else to attempt it, and after an hour he gave up.
If this isn’t some kind of bug/glitch that will be fixed, then the game is junk.

If Apple Arcade is going to continue to put out titles like this…
I was so excited to see this game coming. I primarily play on my Apple TV and thought they would finally be an adventure game worth my time. It is anything but. Great graphics, interesting storyline, and absolute poor performance. There is literally no way to access any items. I presume the menu button on my steel series controller is how I would access it but who would know? It never worked.

Great potential, but needs tweaks and big fixes
This game has a lot of potential. The map is huge and there are a lot of things to do. But there are many serious issues:
1. Sometimes you fall through a floor at random. You can be standing there and just die.
2. It needs to give players more direction. You can spend hours wandering around trying to figure out what to do.
3. The map is not very useful. It needs to show more detail because a lot of areas are difficult to get to. .
4. After 60 hours of play I can’t make progress because completion of the prison dungeon did not clear the Cacia the Town Architect quest for me for some reason. I am at the point where I can no longer activate owl towers.
5. Touch controls don’t always work. You will die a lot from not dodging or attacking when you mean to. Game is much easier with a game pad.
6. Enemies are unfairly powerful and will block or evade many of your attacks. Each enemy requires a strategy.
7. Enemies are often right at a room entrance so you get hit before you know what’s happening.
There’s more stuff. The developer has been making fixes and I hope they turn this around into a great game.
