Excellent product. Very reliable scanner app for many years on a wide variety of 1D and 2D symbologies. Great demonstration of the Cognex’s capabilities.

I downloaded this app years ago and it just works well, in fact, I used this app at the grocery store to help the cashier read the stacked barcodes that the store scanner would not read.

Almost Perfect
I use this for reading barcodes in a small grocery store I help manage. The app is easy and quick for what I need. The only flaw I’ve found - and this might depend on a setting that I haven’t found yet - is that it will pad an 8-digit SKU up to 12 digits. Unfortunately, our point-of-sale system needs the original 8-digit SKU. Fortunately, the vast majority of our products have 12-digit SKUs, and this app works great for those.

Best no-fuss scanner. Great features.
I normally don’t leave reviews, but this app is perfect. It does exactly what it’s supposed to. No ads in your face.
Features I like:
- continuous scanner mode
- auto google search
- targeting mode
- scan history
- duplicate delay
My current setup is “continuous scanning” + “duplicate delay = 5 seconds”. I can scan a bunch of tightly packed codes without locking onto the same one over and over again. Results appear in the UI overlay without notifying me each time. It’s great!
It also seems to support a ton of types (like DataMatrix) as well as parsers. I haven’t tried these out yet, but I’ll try them out later when I’m feeling bored. The UPS parser looks interesting.
I’m a software developer and I understand this is a demo for their SDK. If I ever need a scanner library, I’m definitely going to look into these guys.

Fast, scans anything, amazingly helpful!
This might seem like an unassuming barcode scanner, but it has super powers. It’ll decode just about anything you throw at it - and it’s super fast. Sure, it’ll scan your UPC codes and library card and, of course, QR codes galore. But try your driver’s license, or the 2D barcode on your package. Once you start looking for them, barcodes are everywhere - and this app will help you decode them.

iPhone 16, the app just shows an out of focus image and won’t scan.

App scans fine and very fast the first time you open it. It won’t scan again until your phone is rebooted. The last image is frozen on screen out of focus with a dull red crosshair even if you force close and reopen the app a few minutes later. I’m not sure if this is useful information for the dev, but after that initial scan it stops accessing the camera (the little green indicator light turns off).
If it worked I’d pay a few bucks for it (even if it was through an App Store “tip jar”), though not a subscription like most apps want. It doesn’t collect any data, which is a huge plus in my book.

Image is frozen all the time can’t scan anything anymore it worked once for me. Seems like a solid app just doesn’t work for me on iPhone 16 pro
