It was great until it wasn’t.
It just stopped working. And it doesn’t give a very good notification when it’s no longer connected to your child’s phone. I would have to do a frequent troubleshooting at length to get it working again, then it would lose connection again.
It lost connection so much that it barely monitored anything. It worked wonderfully when we had it for the first few months but not anymore. It is really disappointing.

It’s complicated
Could have found an easier way to add extra kids when you have more than 1 setting up and checking the map is always so off, you fix one thing and then something less doesn’t work correctly. It should be an easier way for the kids to answer especially if an emergency
Great concept, horrible execution
I consider myself very tech savvy and I wanted to throw my laptop at the wall while trying for over an hour to get this thing installed and set up. I stepped away from it and later my daughter comes to me crying because nothing is working on her tablet! The app is not intuitive and the set-up process was full on bugs and glitches. I can’t even begin to describe the level of frustration this program has caused. I spent an hour adjusting privacy settings on my daughter’s tablet and now I can’t figure out how to un-do all of it! Do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache, unless they do major improvements, this is NOT worth it IMO.

HATE THIS
So my mom got this app without telling me. And I said mom I need privacy for my own good I do not want a ai tool tracking me. And always I am SAFE and I’m 9 this is from a kids perspective so kids delete this app🙄
Total fail for iOS
App and Bark Sync devices are a total technology fail, won’t work with iPhone, support services are also worthless. Waste of money and major waste of time.
This app is terrible.
It let's your parents control your life, it alerts random things that aren't even bad, it gives you no privacy, and it makes children lose trust and fear their parents. This app kills children's mental health..
This is not good for kids.
Children often times do have their struggles though I believe apps like this intrude upon their own privacy as well as worsen their feelings because they feel a lack of freedom.
Awful App
While we enjoy the service overall the app and software are awful….as well as their support.
Bark can’t do what it claims it can
It’s a noble idea but their technology won’t work with iOS. They charge you a monthly fee then when Apple changes something Bark shrugs and says oh well maybe you should buy more stuff from us so it’ll work. Complete snake oil.
Will not connect or monitor iPhone
I have had this app for a year now and have not been able to use this app to monitor my child's iPhone messages, web usage and most apps. I do not recommend.
Terrible Experience and Devices
Devices that shipped did not set up. Hours with tech support did not resolve issues. Was billed twice for devices and subscription that wasn’t even being used because the watches weren’t set up. Would strongly suggest looking at alternatives to Bark.
Avoid Like the Plague
The entire Bark ecosystem is garbage. Avoid like the plague. Software=trash. Hardware=landfill. I own a tech company and to manage their tools is a full-time job.
Negative experience
Paid for a year. Worked fine for the first two months. I had to plug her phone in multiple times to sync though. After the two months it stopped syncing. I did what customer service told me to do and still wouldn’t work and wouldn’t sync. Apparently warranty is for first two months only (go figure) and I couldn’t get a refund. Had such high hopes for this app.

Very unclear and charged is very dishonest .
It is hard to manage all. It is not like other apps that just download the app In the device and kids are not able to delete. Two, cs is weird. I returned my bark sync and after a month the were still charging me. They charge 4 months, the only 4 months I was with them wrong!! Get something simpler and affordable. Bark is simply not good!

Fine WHEN it works
I have had this app for over a year. I cannot tell you how many times I cannot open it. That is even when it's sending me notifications! The parental control is simple enough but I cannot use it when I can't open the app. I also find that while we have to create a trusted phone number list to call my kid's phone, somehow she gets spam calls. Like, how?!?!?! I don't know how long I am keeping this. They also don't have iPhones only Samsung phones which makes it more inconvenient for me.

i hate how this app invades kid’s privacy .. and also the parent can feel like you can’t be trusted for some reason and it’s like you don’t even need the app just go through the kids phone manually instead of using the damn internet.
Absolute Invasion of Privacy
Do you really want some AI company to data mine & sell all of your kid’s personal info/habits/interests/moods/friends? We need to be much better custodians of our children’s privacy.
Does not work
Waited for a week for the sync cable to ship. Switched from questido, collect phones unprotected for a week for the transition. Would not sync. Chatted for 30 min troubleshooting with no luck. Called customer service only for someone to finally be honest that the new iOS that was updated TWO MONTHS AGO does not sync. So they knew this and sold me a product that they know does not work. What a waste of time and a general concern of leaving phones unprotected while we waited for a sync they shipped, knowing it doesn’t sync. Make it make sense bark
