Doesn’t work

Downloaded the ‘exciting’ new app, went to the trouble of registering, but am finding the new version slow and buggy. It stalled halfway through restoring my purchases and then crashed altogether. All I can get now is a blank white screen.

FreeJuly issue offer - scam

Downloaded the app to try the free issue only to receive a message to say offer no longer available AFTER I had registered. It’s 21:35 on 1st August and the offer doesn’t end until 2nd August … so how come it’s not available

From erratic behavior to dreadful excerpt version of magazine

The app had become increasingly buggy when displaying magazines so the last update seemed promising but the publishers have switched to a very dull document version of the articles. With almost zero formatting they seem to resemble an editors article proofs. They would make very poor web article pages.

All new to editions use this format with all the attractiveness and style of the magazine layout lost. I’ll keep the app to be able to get access to my previous editions but please PLEASE return to the magazine format and layout.

We carried out a lot of user testing before making this change and we feel that this solution offers the best reading experience for customers across all of the different screen sizes on Apple devices. Not Impressed.

Bought August’s copy of the magazine only for it to ask me to re-buy it when I came back to read it a few days later. Not impressed at all.

Having had all sorts of problems with this app, I recently purchased a twelve month subscription and also paid to have all previous issues. Why am I having to sign into my Itunes account every time I want to read a magazine? Please sort this out! Also the September issue and the previous free magazine don’t download as a magazine but as individual articles. I am beginning to regret taking out a new subscription and buying all the previous magazines

I preferred the magazine style of the previous version and so I will move across the zinio.

Countryfile magazine - a great read!

A variety of topics mean anyone and everyone who has an interest in the countryside will find something of interest in each magazine. Being able to view on line enables me to take this with me anywhere.

Rubbish

This is absolute rubbish. Yet again a magazine app has taken my money but refuses to supply the magazines. I signed up for a subscription for the Countryfile magazine and all I get is a long download that eventually abandons all pretence at delivery and just sends me back to the iPad home page. Deleting the app and reinstalling made no difference. Another load of money thieved.

Excellent mag for nature lovers

Some lovely surprise articles, an abiding love of our countryside and wildlife conservation running as a theme throughout. A very enjoyable read.

App won't open

Since subscribing a few days ago, the app won't open on my iPad Air 64 Gb. I enjoyed the first two free issues, and started to read the May 2017 issue, but now the App just shows the red opening flash screen with an endless timer spinning....very disappointing

UPDATE
The App now opens, but sometimes takes a while to do so. At times, the only way to get past the opening splash screen is to rotate the iPad from portrait to landscape mode.

Great app

Really enjoying this app. I love nature and always try to watch the programme. This app supplements the programme and also has some great articles to read at leisure. Definitely worth the subscription with the 2 free initial issues.

A Magazine to relax with

My only wish is that the on-line magazine arrived on the 1st of every month instead of at the beginning of the month before.

I have great problems resisting the temptation to sneak a look at my favourite magazine before it's due date. I love the photographs, the articles and the ideas for wild life holidays.

Beautiful magazine

Great stories, lovely photographs. This magazine gives years of reading - even after you think you've read it cover to cover, you come across stuff you missed. A must-read for every Anglophile. Would give it more stars if I could.
