Test aren’t correct
It was then we realised that the app instructions were not correct. They had completely missed a manouvre and she paid the price. Contact the app only to be told as far as they were concerned it was minor and tough luck to her. Absolutely disgusted by their attitude and complete lack of ethics.
Plenty of other more carefully curated apps to learn from, choose any of those

I'm so sorry your daughter encountered an error in the test, and thank you for raising this with us directly. It was fixed in the next release a few days later, and we retested all 112 tests as a consequence. I'm afraid errors do sometimes happen despite all our efforts, but we do try and respond as quickly as possible.
Doesn’t Work
Response from developer
Sorry to be late in replying to this issue, I'm hoping it got resolved - if it hasn't then please try "restore subscription" from the (i) menu and please get in touch with us if the app is still locked after that. As with all iOS apps the subscription checks are done via Apple in the US and occasionally there can be comms issues that result in a valid subscription not being recognised, "restore subscription" forces Apple to resend the information and the app will unlock.
Good concept, voice recognition shocking
However as soon as you’re riding a test and telling it next
I either have to shout start mid test or it pauses or resets
Not ideal when I’m on a novice horse who struggles to relax and o have to keep stopping and starting
I have no help to learn tests so this would need to be improved before I would subscribe
Response from developer
Thanks for reporting this, it was eventually tracked down as an issue with later releases of iOS, we have now completely rewritten the voice recognition to work on iOS 26.
Lifesaver!
Too expensive
Test changes
Learn p1 from app got to venue
Wrong test P2 in app seems to be P1 which is the one I should have learned 🤔😢
Couldn’t be without this App
I couldn’t be without it.
Wake up, middle of the night? Forget counting sheep, learn your next test! ( I know I’m nuts!)
This app covers every method of learning. You can even record your results.
If you have any questions just email, the creators they respond within hours, and they even have a Facebook page.
It helps that one of the creators is a dressage rider and competes. Like me, she found it really difficult to memorise tests, hence the app!
It may seem expensive, though soon pays for itself with the confidence gained through knowing where you’re going in the arena, seeing the floor plan, with or without sound, and I do believe you can now ride with the test being commanded through the app. Obviously not in a test situation, though great for practice.
They keep bringing out additional ideas, and the app is continuing to improve.
In doubt?
Give it a go!
Poor User Experience
Setting the timing is really fiddly

UPDATE: The latest version (12.5) now has Caller - when you're ready to ride the next move just say "Next", it doesn't use Siri so it works without an internet connection. Thanks for your feedback and suggestions. Version 10.5 (just released) has a Lock Screen overlay that makes it easier to ride with speaking on, and we're planning major updates to riding with speaking on for release later this year. We've been looking at voice control for some time and plan on including that in a future update.
This app is brilliant and well thought out!
Following the first test I quickly got my phone out and learned the second test in minutes! The visual aids, where to do your transitions, size of circles etc all worked a treat for me as the judge noted how accurate the test was… all because I saw it visually on the app.
Thank you - because of this I won! Bonus!

Thanks so much for such a positive review, it makes it all worthwhile!

Thanks so much for such a positive review
Good
TAWIF
Nearly there.....
You only get 300 credits wich is only the same as 3 tests so if your like me and are out competing every weekend then you need to pay for more and I’m only 12 so I don’t have the money to pay for more credits. So after 3 tests then I think it’s not that great because it just sits in your phone doing nothing unless you pay for more credits.😑🤑 I think it would be a great idea if everyone got more credits but for nowIf you want to get it then go ahead!🤗but personal I would not get it again.😮
I’ve now edited my review 3 times to try and answer the developers questions....
Over all improvements are needed and the option to watch someone or a sticker do the test or a video of what u have drawn to make sure u can remember it.🤔
OVER ALL IMPROVEMENTS NEDDED!!!!

Thanks for clarifying, but TestPro doesn't work the way you describe - it is a subscription app, you do not have to pay for further credits once you have subscribed, your subscription provides unlimited access to the tests you have paid for. Thanks for your review. TestPro is under continuous development and we welcome feedback and suggestions for future improvements - can you please be more specific about what you would like to see improved?
SCAM if you click on same test more than 20 times you get locked out
Response from developer
Update: I think we tried to sort out your issue with 2 Apple IDs causing the subscriptions not to work as you expected on you and your son's 'phones? As with all IOS apps, subscriptions are handled by Apple and are tied to the Apple ID the subscription was taken out with, this is nothing to do with TestPro and we have no control over the process. We suggested that your son uses Restore Subscription to force a re-sync, and that you might like to use Apple's Family Sharing feature to share the same subscription across the 2 'phones, saving you from paying twice. We didn't get a response, but I'm assuming from these reviews that our suggestions didn't work? There is no "Scam" here, just some confusion about how Apple IDs work - it is not uncommon for people to have more than one Apple ID set up, and we have always managed to resolve the problem in the past. To answer your points in turn: "SCAM if you click on same test more than 20 times you get locked out" – This is how the free usage “try before you buy” period is designed to work. After much consultation we chose a usage based system because this is fairer than the more usual approach of giving a free month that then automatically rolls into a paid subscription unless cancelled. Once you have used your usage credits access to tests will lock, so if you swap between tests 20 times you will use all your free credits quickly. This is made quite clear during the welcome process, and many of our users eke their free credits our for several weeks before buying a subscription. “.. you are only allowed 20 tests a month..” Incorrect. You have unlimited access to all the tests covered by your subscription for the period you choose. We provide a monthly subscription option to give you the flexibility to suspend your payments when you are not competing, which will continue automatically unless you cancel or your payment is refused, there is no monthly limit. “My son was learning on me of novice tests and a prelim and kept swapping between both tests and in a matter of an hour they are all locked as he used all 20 goes.” As above, this was the free usage credit running out. “Please can you change the app to unlimited use of tests per month as your current method is not user friendly and a waste of money! And be more honest in description!” This IS the way the app works. Please note that TestPro would not have passed Apple’s stringent review process if there was any dishonesty in the description or any misleading practices in the app.
What a fantastic app!
The purchasing options aren’t fair
Response from developer
Thanks for your feedback. The free credit is there so you can try the app before having to pay. Most people find they can learn at least three tests for free, and we have many users who eke their credit out for several weeks before buying. We looked at different purchase options when we designed TestPro, we chose subscriptions because: - We can add new and update existing tests (and the Rulebook) as they become available. - We can make continuous improvements (since launch we've put out a new release roughly every 3 months, e.g. in Version 5.0 we added new functionality that allows you to vary playback speed to ride a test with TestPro speaking the movements). We will continue to add significant new features over time. - If you choose to subscribe monthly, you can suspend payments (via iTunes) while you are not using TestPro so you only pay when you are using it (we have a lot of users who suspend payment while they are not competing, and then resume when they start again). It also means that you can swap your test packs easily if your competing level changes. We think that is fairer than being asked to pay up-front for content you might not use much. - The dressage market is small, and one-off purchase means we would have to charge again for updates - this brings its own problems since you pay more if you only own the previous version for a couple of months before being asked to pay for an upgrade. The bottom line is that TestPro only exists because it is by subscription, and we strive to give our subscribers value.
Amazing
Amazing app
Great until you run out of credit
Response from developer
Thanks for your feedback, glad you like TestPro. The price over 80% of our users pay is the equivalent of about 1 cup of coffee a month. I'm guessing you were paying for 47 BD Tests on a monthly basis? The monthly option assumes you will suspend the subscription when you are not competing, so we don't expect people to pay it continuously for the whole year. If you really want a full years uninterrupted access to all 47 tests you can do an annual subscription for much less. We opted for this way of charging because it allows us to continuously update TestPro - not only to keep tests up to date as BD changes them, but also to add new features to the app.
