About

Beacon helps families keep an eye on how an older parent is moving, and tells you when her fall risk starts to climb, usually weeks ahead, while there is still time to do something about it. Beacon is free to download. Her daily fall-risk score is free too, from the Apple Watch or Bluetooth health device she already has, through Apple Health. You see the number, which way it is moving and what is driving it, in plain language rather than a clinical chart. Beacon is honest about what it knows. It tells you how many signals are behind today's score and what each missing one would add. FOR THE FAMILY - Today: how everyone you look after is doing, and who needs you - Fall risk: her score, the trend and what is behind it - Plan: a starting plan built from her health assessment and medicines, such as balance exercises, a medication review and home safety, with progress shared across the family - Medicines: add the ones she already takes, during setup or any time after - Check-ins: a gentle daily routine, with a heads-up if one is missed - Circle: invite family, choose what each person sees, and share visit summaries FOR HER - My day: check in with one tap, mark medicines as taken and start today's balance exercises - Progress in words, with the number only if she wants it - Apple Watch: her day on her wrist, with the same check-in, medicines and exercises - A short guided balance session, and a quick way to note a near-miss The family sets things up and keeps an eye on things; she simply does her day. Beacon on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch opens to the right version for each person. Beacon provides wellness insights and is not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice or diagnosis. Talk to her doctor before changing medicines or exercise. OPTIONAL PLANS The score is free on every plan. Optional subscriptions add room and sharing: an unlimited care circle, visit summaries you can send or print for her doctor, and her full history (Starter); shared family access, so everyone in her care circle gets Premium too (Premium); and Premium for up to ten people (Family). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Apple account settings.
