About

Beacon is the help desk and device inventory app for school district IT teams and the teachers and staff they support. Sign in with the account your district gives you. FOR TECHNICIANS Scan first - Scan an asset tag, a serial number or a Beacon label to open the device: who has it, where it is, its history and its open tickets. - Check devices out and in, or place them in a room, cart or closet, then keep scanning. The person, status or place you chose stays selected. - Undo any scan for a few seconds before it is sent. - Print asset labels through AirPrint. - Use the camera, the keyboard or a Bluetooth barcode scanner. Tickets that work in a hallway - Your queue, unassigned tickets, tickets due soon and your saved views, with a due time on each ticket that has one. - Swipe to take a ticket or resolve it, with Undo. - Reply or add internal notes with photos, dictation and @mentions. Drafts stay until you send them. - Where your district allows it, Suggest a Reply drafts an answer with AI for you to edit and send. - Changes you make without a connection are saved on your iPhone or iPad and sent when you are back online. - Notifications for assignments, new tickets for your teams, replies, mentions and due times, with quiet hours you set. FOR TEACHERS AND STAFF - Report a problem in a few taps: take a photo, choose what it is about, send. - Follow each request and reply to IT. - Read your district's help articles when it publishes them. MADE FOR DISTRICT DEVICES - Sign in with what your district uses: email and password, Google, Microsoft, Clever, ClassLink or its own single sign-on. Technicians can also link Sign in with Apple where the district allows it. - An optional Face ID lock. - On iPad, the list and the ticket, request or device you open sit side by side when the window is wide enough. Your district owns its data. Beacon does not sell it, does not use it for advertising and does not track you across apps and websites. In the app you can turn AI off for yourself and ask your district to delete your account. Privacy policy: https://beaconhelpdesk.com/privacy Beacon requires an account from your organization.
