Beam SAZ
This app has tremendously improved since the last version I used. The experience is great, being connected from anywhere with my phone provides a unique feeling of inclusion.
Easy to handle
Similar to the desktop app. This is helpful to avoid enterprise network issues !

"I've been using Beam for 7 years now, and both the app and its iOS version have been nothing short of excellent for me. I primarily use it in an advanced manufacturing lab at a major university for seamless communication with vendors and colleagues worldwide. It performs flawlessly.
One minor hiccup I encountered was with Google's federated sign-in, but this was easily solved by using an email and password instead.
The tech support has been outstanding. I highly recommend Beam to anyone looking for a reliable communication tool, especially in professional or academic settings."

Screwed if you login through google
The app doesn’t let you login through google. If your account was set up that way, you’re out of luck. It just returns a network error

Broken due to neglect
Authentication with Beam’s servers is broken due to expired certificates
Beam has contracted with an iOS dev!
Back in April of last year, I reached out to support at SuitableTech (which has since been acquired). They told me that they’d part ways with whatever ios dev resource they had due to the pandemic.
But just today (1/25), they followed up on my support ticket to tell me they have contracted an ios developer to update the app. I am hoping this is true and will continue to update as I get news.
For now, still have to keep my 1-star rating... But I am itching to increase the stars once an update is released!

No longer works
This app no longer works for me. It complains during login about a problem with the server security certificate. Sad.
Source code?
Could you at least release the source code so that we can update the certificate ourselves?
How long does it take to update a certificate?
Seriously, suitabletech - how long does it take to fix this expired certificate problem and re-submit?
The app no longer works -at all - and will not until suitable submits an update. This is hugely annoying - especially during a pandemic when being able to access our beams is critical. Very disappointed that beam has not solved this problem.

Asking for more money but no updates
No app fixes in years but in a correspondence through email Beam asked me to drop almost 4 grands for an enhanced package to unlock extended video conferencing time. Pure theft.
Crashes every time it opens on iOS13
It seems the company is no longer updating the software. This was such a great tool to have! :’(
App crashes occasionally
Great when it works. However app seems to crash upon launch on occasion.
The app is worst than a prototype
The Beam service is really greats remote conference and video chat with a physical presence at remote location.
However, the iOS app is lacking some base functions as:
- pip when the app is running in background
- recording of video should continue when the app is running in background
- recording of video should continue when using iOS's Slide Over feature
- the app should at least render correctly on a 12,9'' iPad Pro

- The app show a popup to rate the last session, but it is not possible to tap any of the buttons

The app itself works great but I wish I could copy and paste in my complex password from my password locker
