The best systenm for managing your work

Having been a user for seven years, I love this teams work.

Used to be a great app

This was a great app, it it seems to be broken now. Specifically, I upgraded to the paid version for about $150 USD and it still will not export meeting notes and actions to email. This makes the app pretty much worthless to me as I can’t manage a team without exporting meeting notes.

I tried contacting support but cannot because I can’t send emails from the app (lol), and the support tab on Beesy.me doesn’t open up a form, just a blank page with a click button that does nothing.

Avoid at all costs. $150 is ridiculous for an app to begin with, but it worked VERY well for me when it was free. It worked so well that I was willing to pay.

Best Meeting App

works fast and keep you on task. Lets you track who is tasked and deadlines.

Second Chance, reminders, support

Let’s be honest, this is not an inexpensive app

So it is fair to have high expectations of it.

Flaws

- reminders don’t sync
- notes can only be added to 50% of the meeting minutes on the dashboard

If a refund is viable 24 hours into establishing it has not moved far from 2 years ago, I would request a refund.

Great project management

So far, even though it’s only been a few days, it’s been great. I am able to organize my meetings in different sections, work on projects and set my to do list on one place. I still need to figure out all the options but I think it will work out.

Getting oriented

Giving it three stars based on being on the learning curve. I think it has the potential to be 5 stars once I get used to it. I’m in love with the potential.

What’s up?

App use to work. Now I can’t sync with my reminders. I pay a monthly fee for this and it doesn’t work. I’ve invested quite a bit in this app and am very frustrated.

Reminders?

I bought the reminders and followed the directions and nothing! Worked on it for 2 days.

I’d like to use the Livescribe pen but not until I get reminders going.

I like the idea but I really want it to work with reminders and calendar!?

And a bit worried the free version only allows 50 tasks?

Application Beesy

Après avoir essayé plusieurs autres applications, Beesy est sans aucun doutes une excellente application pour améliorer son efficacité au travail.

An Excellent Tool

Back to 5 stars.

This software has a significant learning curve (and a few bugs) but once you gain enlightenment on how it functions, it is the best note-taking, meeting-planning and project management software out there. You need enlightenment because Beesy is full of functionality but the value of those functions is not what makes it 5 stars.

The core is NOTES. These can be actual notes or, more often, MEETINGS. The meetings/notes can be easily generated by clicking on a calendar entry. Everything can be shared with others so that people can make inputs to the meeting/notes to add comments, agenda topics, things needed, etc.

During the meeting you can add notes on the addenda topics, tasks for yourself and others, drawings, ideas, etc. then Beesy will produce a comprehensive set of notes on the meeting.

If that were all Beesy did, it would still be worth the money but it does more. Each of those meeting tools can also be used alone. You can build and manage projects, assign tasks to yourself and others, add comments to people/projects/tasks. Beesy is a comprehensive tool for managing all your activities and information.

I doubt that tutorials can completely explain Beesy’s value. Understanding the functions then applying them to what you do brings the enlightenment as to Beesy’s value. I, for example, am now retired but do volunteer work with children that requires meticulous notes and careful follow up. I also need to report my activities regularly- Beesy fills the need. With the Livescribe pen, I can take notes in court or during visits, set actions for myself and others, record ideas, etc.

Invest the time in understanding Beesy. If you buy it for a stand-alone task manager or note-keeping-software or project manager, it will work well but there are better individual software programs out there for each of these functions. It’s when you use Beesy in your individual circumstances that the power of having all these in one piece of collaborative software.

Also, I might mention, the Livescribe link is better than others. The transcription is highly-accurate.

I am modifying my review to cover the new link with Livescribe.

Notes in Livescribe can be stored in any Beesy function using the three buttons on the top of the Livescribe 3 notebook page. So pressing button 1 stores a note, 2 a task and 3 and idea (for me, the assignments can be changed). Thats good but the handwriting recognition software used is beyond bad, it's useless! It would be quicker to read handwritten notes and type them into Beesy than to correct the constant errors from the recognition software. Even printing in block letters yields dozens of errors in a paragraph.

Also, I have been using Beesy for awhile and never had trouble mapping Beesy tasks to IOs reminders until this release; they no longer work. Plus, if I leave the web-based app linked, I now get constant errors from that.

Complete frustration. I hope these things will be fixed soon, especially the handwriting recognition, as the idea is great.

I have been using this for the last two weeks to plan and "note" meetings and to keep track of my business projects.

All in all, this is one of the more effective tools I have found. The only problem is that it crashes constantly. This normally occurs on the second or third attempt to select text... perhaps a text editor is crashing?

Anyway I am going to continue to use it. With Beesy for meetings and business projects and Pocket Informant for tasks and personal projects, I have finally found a working combination.

I use Beesy to build agendas and take notes and record actions for my meetings. Once the meeting is complete, I can save to Evernote (in Beesy) which then appears in my Pocket Informant notes. I have tried everything - Opus Domini, 2Do, Simpleology, SmartDay, Todoist, ChaosControl, Gneo, Organize-Pro, PlanAndNote, Things, and many others - and this combo is the only one that works for me.

Yes No Stars!

This is the absolute worst program ever allowed on the App Store. I made the mistake of thinking if I paid more that it would actually work! Needless to say, that money drain goes even deeper and I spent a few weeks trying to get a refund for $23 wasted. I assume he project management system this company is known for is operable but it is not for use as an app

Good bye beesy

Used this app loads and loved it but all the best features no locked out for £65 annual subscription so good bye

Was Good, Now Not So Much

I've used this software for a few years. It is definitely a good app for preparing meeting notes and managing action items. I found myself switching between this and another app.....not able to figure out which was better. It is not perfect, but it is useful.

The problem is the nickel and dime approach used o generate income by the developers. Rather than adding value with new feature that are worth paying for. They removed capability and are forcing users to pay yearly for functionality we originally purchased and had been using.

They removed the ability to create projects (a repository for notes and tasks) without purchasing a yearly subscription. I've been using this feature since my original purchase. All of the sudden, I have to pay yearly to have that functionality. That seems ridiculous and concerns me about continue using the software.

My suggestion is don't purchase.

Not ready for busy people...

1. Greedy. Not interested in an app that will nickel and dime you for sync.
2. If you disconnect from the online site, it should not wipe out your data. Bad design
3. You should be able to assign multiple people to a task. Or at least create groups and assign groups.
4. There is a difference between participants and actual attendees. It should be noted in the meeting minutes.
5. When managing people, the online version is different than the app version. The App version asks for the first name, the online version combines the first name with the last name in the last name field.
6. Meeting minutes should be customizable.
7..Should be able to save templates to meetings, so you don’t have to type in repeated topics.
8. Ability to import CSV to update the meeting notes would be a huge benefit.

It’s has good features, i used it when it first came out. Thought is was good, however it’s i don't recommend it for busy people who need to synchronize data. Unfortunately, I will lose 30 minutes working around these features rather than gain the advertise 30 minutes because of the lack of features.

Unfortunate Update

Have been using this product for years. Really was/is a great product except with the most recent update it no longer lets me use the majority of features without paying $70/YEAR. I understand they want to be paid for their efforts however it is unfortunate it is so much. If you have deep pockets this is a great app. For the rest of us look elsewhere.

Looks really interesting...

Looks interesting but when ever I tap to do something it wants me to "upgrade"

I can't tell if it is useful because of this.

$110.00 a year!!!

This looks really interesting and comprehensive and I am keen to put it through some paces but it appears that every time I click on something like "Project" it prompts me to upgrade.

But it doesn't tell me what to upgrade to...

Nor is there any prices.

If you go to the app page there is a list of upgrades with two for $110.00 with different features.

This is quite confusing and a little bit scary.

Potentially $220.00 for an app regardless of how good it may be needs some clarity and accssability to all functions via a trial.

It's just not clear if there even is a trial.

This makes it difficult to commit to anything.

The developers need to put the software to use and organise some clarity around what it is they are selling and if there is a trial.

Missed the boat

Not being able to sync to sources other than theirs is a real draw back. If I could sync to drop box or another service not controlled by beesy this app would be my goto app.

$70 to be able to sync

Way too expensive just to be able to sync across devices. Otherwise has potential.

Expensive and Complicated

Purchased a year or two ago. Always felt it was complicated. Recent upgrades appear to help the process but the price went up exponentially. Too expensive. Disappointing.
