About

German citizenship takes years. Belong Germany keeps the count honest, from today to the day you can apply. Answer a few questions about your situation and Belong Germany shows your real distance to German citizenship: which route applies to you, what you have already met and what still stands between you and the decision. YOUR ROUTE, CLEARLY The uniform five year route, and the three year route for the spouse or registered partner of a German citizen Every requirement explained: lawful ordinary residence, a settled residence status, German at level B1, the Einbürgerungstest, self support and a clean record Each rule dated and sourced from the official authorities: the Staatsangehörigkeitsgesetz, the BAMF and your local Einbürgerungsbehörde. Rules as of September 2026 THE PASSPORT AT THE END The document your road leads to, on its own tab: the real cover in colour, with validity, fee, where to apply and dual citizenship, checked with the authorities and linked to the source What makes the German passport particular: the Brandenburg Gate hologram, the anthem in the data page, the eagle under UV light Add your name and photo and the passport carries them as the holder's, and a line under the cover says when you could apply, at the earliest TRAIN FOR THE REAL TEST Full 33 question mock tests for the Einbürgerungstest under the real pass rules, pass at 17, quick rounds, chapter drills and a deck of your own mistakes In German, like the real test, with an English study toggle, and the official BAMF test centre one tap away WHAT'S COMING The dates ahead, on your dashboard: the day your residence time is complete, a rule taking effect, a document about to expire. Optional alerts, a handful a year, never a stream of noise YOUR DOCUMENTS, ON YOUR IPHONE Attach the evidence for each requirement and note when it expires. Documents stay on your iPhone, encrypted by iOS while it is locked. Belong Germany never uploads them and never sees them TRACK WHAT MATTERS Log trips abroad and see honestly whether time away could break your continuous residence. A single stay over six months can, and Belong Germany says so before it surprises you Try a What if scenario, pass a test, marry, spend months abroad, and see how your finish line would move. The real rules on a copy, nothing is saved WHAT YOU CONTROL, WHAT YOU DON'T The years you build, the tests you pass and the record you keep are yours. Your city's queue is not: naturalisation is decided by your local Einbürgerungsbehörde, and waiting times vary widely. Belong Germany separates your side from the wait, so you always know which is which DUAL CITIZENSHIP Since June 2024 Germany allows dual citizenship: you keep your existing nationality when you naturalise. The three year fast track was abolished in October 2025, so a single five year period now applies to everyone. Belong Germany reflects the rules as they stand today COMING UP Immigration and citizenship news with The Local Germany is in the works, filtered to Germany and delivered inside the app. A Belong Germany account, one subscription across iPhone and web, arrives in Q4 2026 HONEST BY DESIGN No fake finish dates. Belong Germany tells you what is in your hands, what is not and what the next step is. It is a tracker, not legal advice. Always verify your case with your Einbürgerungsbehörde, the BAMF or a qualified lawyer. Questions or feedback: hello@belongeurope.com Belong Pro is an auto-renewable yearly subscription (€34.99/year) with a 7 day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Your tracker, your name and your photo stay on your iPhone. What's New in Belong Germany

1.0.7

August 24, 2026

The passport, up close. NEW: THE PASSPORT TAB The German passport as it is: the real cover, the validity, the fee and where to apply, verified with the authority, and what makes it particular, from the Brandenburg Gate hologram to the anthem in the data page. A line under the cover says when you could apply, at the earliest, from the same figures your dashboard reads. YOUR NAME AND PHOTO, AS THE HOLDER Add your name and a photo of yourself on the You tab and the Passport tab carries them, the way the finished document will. Both stay on your iPhone only, never uploaded, never synced. FIVE TABS, GERMANY ON TOP Germany now heads every tab, and the bar went from six tabs to five: News and Practice share one tab with news first, and your Standing sits on the dashboard, one tap from the meter it explains. A DASHBOARD THAT CANNOT OVERPROMISE The headline now reads straight off your meter, so the words can never say more than the bar does. When every requirement on your route is met, the meter says so: your part is done. CHECKED FOR SEPTEMBER The German rules were checked again for September 2026 and nothing shifted under you: five years of residence, German at B1, the Einbürgerungstest, self support, a clean record and dual citizenship since June 2024. The stamp at the top of every tab now reads September 2026.
