Perfect every time

I’ve been bending conduit for over 30 years. I am very good at it and take pride in my work. I decided to give this app a try and was pleased at the results. Every bender has the radius stamped on its side. All I have to do is enter the radius, size of offset, kick, or ninety that I want, and the length I have to fit it in and it gives me plain, easy to read, results as to where to put my front of shoe marks in foot, inches, and fractions down to the 1/16ths. The best part (for me) though is that it gives me the drag/travel length so I no longer need to use a protractor to check the degree of the bend. Drag/travel calculations are perfect on benders that can relieve tension (Chicago type) I’ve had to add an 1/8th of an inch for spring back on electric/ hydraulic benders. Concentric bends, matching offsets, small offsets, they’re all easy and precise since I’ve been using this app.

Response from developer

Bend Aid does not use the cosecant method of solving bends which gives wrong answers. Pleased read the Help file on the Main Menu, or go to the developers web site, where it explains the difference between an offset and a right triangle. You enter the bend radius to solve the bends or else you are just solving the straight lines of a right triangle. Bend Aid does not care what type of conduit you are using, or what size of conduit, or what type of bender is being used. The Answers allow you to layout your straight conduit to see where the bends will be and allows you to cut and thread the conduit if you want.
